Enjoy the serenity of Thai countryside and stay far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Our wooden bungalows are perched on a hillside and overlook rice fields, local elephant camp and lush jungle in the background.
The property is set in the hillside of Northern Thailand just a short drive from Chiang Mai (1.5 to 2 hours).
The bungalows are located in Mae Win, Mae Wang, Chiang Mai.
The idea of our place is to stay in harmony with nature and spend time together as a family. We cook together, we eat together and share the experience.
The bungalows are made of bamboo and we try to use green energy when possible from our solar panels. Spicy Villa Eco Lodge is a place to appreciate simple living and the peace of nature.
If you are traveling as a family you can request for family bungalows which consist of two adjoining rooms and are suitable for four guests.
One private bungalow is suitable for two guests.
If there are three guests in your group, you should book two private bungalows.
All our bungalows have private bathrooms.
We have been supporting the ethnic minority groups near by through education and medical supplies. If you would like to donate articles of clothing and other goods after your stay at the Eco Lodge, we will organize and deliver the items to the villages.
The Eco lodge has a wonderful Thai Kitchen where food will be prepared for you. Breakfast is included in the price of your accommodation. The price for lunch and dinner is $ 5 per meal.
All meals are prepared of fresh ingredients from our organic farm and consist of several courses.
You can also take cooking classes and learn to prepare delicious Thai meals on your own!
There are a lot of activities you can do during your stay. Ask us and we will organize them for you. You can go on a humane elephant trek (bareback riding), hike to traditional hill tribe villages, trek in the jungle and visit waterfalls, hike over rice paddies and learn about traditional farming methods, you can also bamboo raft, river tube or canoe on the river.
Activities are not included in the price of your accommodation.
If you wish to do any or all of them during your stay, ask us and we will prepare a custom itinerary for your stay.
I have one and only one house rule: While you are here this is your house and we all live together. Be respectful to the other guests, please clean up after yourself and most importantly please feel at home!
it is simple relaxing place, close to nature, nothing fancy so do not come if you are looking for luxury resort or hotels!!!
Grew up in the countryside, lived in Buddhist temple for 8 years as a novice monk then I went to university where I graduated in tourism management in 2002.
Along with my eco-lodges, I also operate an Eco-Tourism company, where I organize custom small and private group tours for outdoor activities off the beaten tracks, real village visits, local waterfalsl, bare back elephant riding, cooking by using bamboo in the jungle, healthy cycling and more. Ask for details!
I like outdoor activities such as trekking, hiking, cycling and off roading. I am very involved in local community projects and run an English teaching volunteer project as well for ethnic minority school kids.
