Sunshine Cottage has been recently refurbished to a high standard, it has an open plan, double aspect kitchen living room and diner, with a south facing sun trap of a roof terrace. Located just along the front from the Town Quay where there is a regular foot ferry to the bustling port of Falmouth, here you can enjoy the wealth of fine restaurants and thriving pubs that this vibrant town has to offer. Just 5 minutes' walk away are Custom House Quay, Events Square, where the Falmouth Oyster Festival and the shore-side activities for Falmouth Week are based, and the National Maritime Museum. There are also regular ferries from the Prince of Wales Pier and Custom House Quay that are well worth a day trip with destinations such as the beautiful St Mawes and the Roseland Peninsula or further up the River Fal to Trelissick Gardens, Malpas or Truro..
Entrance Level: Front door leads into an open plan kitchen / living room and diner, there are comfortable sofas, an open fire and external doors to a roof terrace with table and benches, the living room area is double aspect providing views of dinghies afloat on the town slipway at high tide. There is a separate shower room with WC and hand basin. There are stairs leading up to the first floor and down to the ground floor.;
First Floor: The stairs open into an open plan, double aspect bedroom with 5' bed, storage and views over the town slip and across to Falmouth.
Ground Floor: Stairs access into a long hall with doors leading to; twin bedroom and storage, second double bedroom with storage, family shower room with WC and hand basin, utility room with combined washing machine and tumble dryer.
Exterior: There is parking for 2 cars off street in a dedicated private drive, there is a small patio garden and the roof balcony on the entrance level..
Facilities & Services
There is an electric central heating system throughout. The kitchen has a range of storage drawers & worktops. There is an electric oven and hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle, dishwasher, fridge / freezer. The sitting room has a large digital TV with Freeview. There is an iron & ironing board. There is a combined washing machine / tumble drier. There is unlimited broadband WiFi.
Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are included but you will need to provide your own beach towels. There is off street parking available for 2 cars. Regrettably there is no smoking. Unfortunately Sunshine Cottage is not suitable for children under 10 years old except babies in arms - you will need to supply your own cot and bedding. We regret that dogs are not permitted.
General Booking Information
Arrival / Departure is normally a Friday.
Short breaks are available during quieter periods.
£250 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a security deposit is required.
Low occupancy discounts of 10% for a couple staying using one bedroom are available out of season.
You must pay particular attention to details on how to leave your accommodation upon departure. Please note that in accordance with our booking conditions, it is your responsibility to:
1. Report and pay for any damages immediately to the Owner or housekeeper.
2. All personal waste must be removed from inside the property at the end of your stay and placed in the dustbins provided. Please note and adhere to any additional instructions in the property regarding waste disposal.
3. Ensure all washing up is done and excess food is removed from the property at the end of your stay.
4. Leave the property in a clean and respectable condition upon departure.
5. Pet owners are reminded about the specific conditions regarding pets at properties.
Please be reminded that in accordance with our terms & conditions, part or all of your pre-authorised security deposit (should it apply to your booking) is at risk if any of these conditions are not met.
