Sitting on 3 acres, our young family lives in this beautiful house that is over 100 years old and overlooks the Lahave River. The house is spacious with lots of nooks for you to explore. It's the perfect central location for exploring the beaches, the Lahave Bakery, Mahone Bay, Lunenburg, and Bridgewater (all within 15 mins). As avid travellers ourselves, we love hosting people from all places & backgrounds. We'll do everything we can to make your stay on the South Shore wonderful!
Our house is over 100 years old but has been immaculately kept. It has old-time charm with modern conveniences. It sits on 3 acres overlooking the Lahave River. The backyard is wonderful - especially during the summer months.
Inside, the house is a bright, wonderful space. The living room is open concept and has a wood stove for chilly East Coast days.
There is a half-bath on the first floor and a very large full bathroom on the second level.
Upstairs, you'll find two spacious bedrooms (one overlooking the river, the other overlooks the forest in the backyard). There is a small reading nook upstairs (with a couch) that is reserved for guests so you can hang out with us downstairs, or have some quiet time upstairs. It's a very specious house so there is lots of room for socializing or having alone time.

We love to share information on the best things to see and do in the area. Please don't hesitate to ask! Our toddler keeps us very busy but we're always available; either in person or by phone. We stay fairly close to home most of the time.
We have a two year old, so please only come to stay with us if you enjoy the vibrancy of toddlers!
- Because we have a small child, we ask that quiet hours start around 8pm.
- No drugs. No excessive drinking.
- Please respect that this is a family home.

My name is Danielle and I live on the South Shore of Nova Scotia with my husband and our sweet little boy.
We recently bought a one hundred year old home on 3 acres overlooking the Lahave River in Lunenburg County. Everyday, we fall more and more in love with the South Shore. Having lived all over Canada, we think it's the very best place to live and travel. The culture here is awe-inspiring.
We are hosting on Airbnb because we love to travel and the simple joy of experiencing a place with local people.
We love amazing natural, organic food & try to eat a plant based diet, as much as possible. We have a large barnwood dining table & love to feed our friends and family whenever we can. Come stay with us!
