This Greek Revival style home built c. 1850 has modern appliances and comforts, a fenced yard for small children and pets, and a superb location.
In the Fall Creek neighborhood, it's a short walk to Cornell University, Ithaca's downtown Commons, Ithaca Falls, Ithaca Farmers’ Market, Cayuga Lake—and Gimme Coffeeshop and Northstar bistro.
In the kitchen you'll find a gas oven/range, toaster oven, microwave oven, and dishwasher. In the downstairs bathroom is the clothes washer and dryer. The two bedrooms and the living area have window-box air conditioners. The living area also has a wood stove. High-speed Internet throughout, but no cable TV unless you specifically request it for a month-long stay.
In addition to an original pressed tin ceiling, the house has wide-plank pine floors, a six-foot-long clawfoot bathtub, palladium windows, a private yard and storage barn once a carriage house. It also has a steep staircase that might not be suitable to young children and the very old.
Guests rent the whole house and have the run of the house! This extends from the porch swing and gardens in front of the house to the back deck and completely enclosed back yard. There is off-street parking in front of the red storage barn that's part of the property.

If I am able, I will meet you to greet you. If I can't be there, I'll tell you where to find the house key and will look forward to meeting you another time.
This is an old house. The floor planks were nailed before your parents were born. No two are identical. So the house is not absolutely air-tight. It is cleaned thoroughly before each guest's arrival. But it is an old house. If you're thinking "restoration hardware," think again. The place is charming—in its own way.
