A lovely, sunlit and airy upper floor studio with a balcony providing far reaching views of Bodmin Moor. The View is nestled in the midst of rural farmland, a dream location to stay in whether you just need time out to relax, to read, write, paint or just study the stars at night. The View is also ideally situated for couples or families to explore sensational Cornwall, with it's picturesque beaches, walks, cycle paths and variety of activities to keep all ages occupied and happy.
We have a two acre private woodland walk ideal to start the day with a morning stroll before returning to cook your breakfast on the electric AGA. The View has a king size bed and a comfortable sofa bed for up to two children inclusive in the daily tariff or a maximum of two extra adult guests (additional fee), all within the same studio type space. Within that space you have your kitchen, dining area and lounge. The spacious seperate bathroom is located on the ground floor at the end of the entrance hall. The hall is where the washing machine and tumble dryer live. Outside there is a large patio area which houses the recycling, ash bins and log store. Beyond the patio is a small grass area which leads round to the side access.
The local town of Launceston with its 12th century castle and 16th century church is only 10 minutes drive away, and can provide you with any provisions you may require. There is also a leisure centre/swimming pool complex and a very good skate park and soft play area in the town.
The local village of South Petherwin (walking/cycling distance) has its own pub and excellent bike shop for all your cycling needs and repairs.
On returning to Tregillis View at the end of your full day, you will access your accommodation from your off road car parking space, there is automatic lighting to guide you to your own entrance door, we can provide garage parking for your bike if required but there is plenty of out of the way, sheltered space for your surf board or cycle under the balcony.
Once snugly in your own front door with the Aga cooking your dinner you can light up your log burner and wander on to the balcony with your favourite tipple to enjoy star gazing across the moors.

We work from home so there is usually someone around in our house or office and we are more than happy to help our guests have a comfortable and pleasurable stay so don't hesitate to ask if you have a request we will do our utmost to help if we can. We do have a small dog who may bark a greeting at you through the dividing dog proof fence, we are usually in the close vicinity so can be hailed if you don't wish to make her acquaintance or alternatively you can get our attention by ringing our mobile or house phone, both numbers will be provided to you as our guests.
Access to the property is by way of a 90 metre private track and though well made up we would advise reduced car speed for your initial approach, there are no gates to negotiate to your parking and should you encounter one you have gone past your accommodation!
Your host will leave self catering breakfast essentials in your accommodation for you to enjoy on your first morning.
There is an outside kennel seperate to the accommodation plot where muddy dogs can be allowed to dry off, if required.
On occasions we have sheep in our fields and we ask that all gates be kept shut as these are very tame, curious sheep and they will happily follow you to your accommodation if allowed!
- No animals or outdoor shoes upstairs.
I am married to Paul and have two adult sons who live in London. I love living in Cornwall and enjoy horse riding, surfing, walking, swimming and meeting new people.
