One of only two antebellum structures still standing in downtown Louisville, Howard Hardy House is on the National Register of Historic Places. Accessible from the second floor balcony, the well-appointed and newly-renovated Bluegrass Suite enjoys a private entrance via the property’s sublime courtyard. The suite features hardwood floors, and wireless internet, as well as two cozy queen beds and available white noise machine. The Bluegrass also offers mini-fridge, a gorgeous cobalt blue private bathroom with shower, bathroom accoutrement, as well as hair dryer. An iron and ironing board come with the suite, and residents enjoy heat and air conditioning.
Parking Made Simple:
There are 2 parking spots in the rear of the building reserved for the HHH. They are first come-first serve. Metered parking is available on 2nd street in front of the building, and is free after 6 PM daily, and on Sundays. Free parking after 6 PM and on weekends in nearby surface lots (must be out by 7:30 AM Monday morning). There are many parking garages within 2 blocks, including the YMCA. The expressway is only four blocks away, but far enough to not have traffic noise.

We ask that you take your shoes off at the door and leave our home as tidy as you found it. If you are bringing guests under the age of 18 we ask they are supervised at all times. Because we have neighbors in a very close proximity (we are in between 2 church buildings that are very sensitive to noise) we ask that you enjoy yourselves but be aware of your noise level. Do not congregate outside for extended periods of time late at night as you will wake or disturb the neighbors and they will be calling us to let us know.
The number of individuals allowed in your suite at any given time are the number you have booked in your reservation (unless otherwise pre-approved by your host). If we find this rule is not followed we will immediately retain your damage deposit. There is absolutely no smoking inside of the house. Illegal drug use is strictly prohibited on the Howard Hardy House premises.
Again, please be aware that there is a security deposit that we rarely ever have to retain from our guests. Our standard cleaning fee does not include cleaning up bodily fluids, vomit, or messes management deems excessive or outrageous. In such circumstances, and/or in the event of actual damage to the property, furnishings, fixtures, appliances or accouterments, a claim may be made against your damage deposit. We will not do so unless we see house rules have been disrespected.
