Super comfortable & very private modern room with large EnSuite, Media Centre & Fireplace (electric). A quiet house in the city.
Enjoy spectacular San Francisco Bay and City views from the top of Potrero Hill. This early 20th century extremely clean home, with 11 foot ceilings, much original woodwork and hardwood floors, has been updated with luxurious modern appointments, presenting a comfortable, charming, and sophisticated style you can only find in better period San Francisco properties.
Luxurious modern comfortable room, quiet space with large double-door closet and set of drawers. This master bedroom has an attached newly remodeled large private bathroom with walk-in spa shower. The bed is very comfortable with natural latex and medium density for comfort with luxury linens and bedding. Your room offers a newly installed Media Wall with your own Fireplace/Heater. An AC unit is also available, should you need it.
We store various types of milk, almond milk, soya and light breakfast assortments in the fridge should you feel peckish in the morning or there are an array of fabulous breakfast locations all a few mins walk away.
We also provide some amenities such as shampoo, shower gel etc for you on your trip.
This is a large and luxurious house in an affluent area with fantastic views of the city. Everything is in close proximity. A Wholefoods is 2 blocks away and there is restaurants, stores, cafes to work in, gyms all blocks away. Whether for work or play, this is a great area and one of the sunniest year round in SF!
Another professional tech entrepreneur lives in this house and but is rarely.
I'm working out of state for July/August hence my rooms available.
The house and gardens have professional cleaners and gardeners tending to the house & garden every week. This is a unique and beautiful home away from home in San Francisco.
Guests will have access to their own luxurious private room with a media theatre, fireplace and large en suite spa bathroom on the immediate entrance floor.
Guests are free to work in their room if working from home during the day as it's a super quiet house (no desk though). Unfortunately the kitchen/living area are not available for home office/desk use as they are used as a kitchen/living room. However, if you're here for work there is a great Starbucks, Philz Coffee and a WholeFoods (with a great cafe and lunch spot) just a few blocks down the street if you need to do some work at a desk like space.
There are also lots of fantastic gyms and Yoga classes nearby too.
Note if you have a car we can provide free parking but please note street cleaning signs (Wed 9-11am) as we don't want you getting a ticket ;-)

We will be happy to answer questions. I (Dave) am on extended work travels hence my room with a private en suite spa bathroom is available - so I will be accessible only by phone/text/email ... but also happy to answer your questions. Just send a message and I will always be super quick to respond.
Sunshine all year long in Potrero Hill. The sunniest place in the city!
Very convenient! We are close to most forms of transportation. Our house is up on top of Potrero Hill, overlooking parts of AT&T Ballpark, the city, Mission Beach, the bay and Oakland (across the bay) -- we are two blocks to Whole Foods and there are many easy ways to walk in to the city, which is only about 1.5 miles distant.
Potrero Hill is one of the nicest (and did we mention sunniest) areas in San Francisco and is the perfect place to base yourself to explore the city. You can walk downtown or take a 5 min Uber pool to downtown for just $3.99.
There's also a bus one block away that takes you to anywhere in the city in minutes and the Cal Train is a short walk away to bring you down the peninsula if you're here on business.
Inside the house the Upstairs area is private so no access for Airbnb. (i.e. the stairs off the kitchen).
When you arrive to our home: You may park right in front of our garage door; don't block the sidewalk so pedestrians can still get through. No one will be using the garage during your stay. Please be sure to leave no items visible within your car; take standard locking precautions.
Walking up the long stairs: Our space is the upper two floors part of the 3 story home; if you arrive late, by walking up the stairs there is a security light which will detect your presence and come on.
Locking/Unlocking the door. Our front door has a keypad; you will be provided a 4 digit number just for you. To unlock, simply tap in the code, and turn the knob above the keypad clockwise. When you arrive inside, be sure to set the lock again. Whenever you leave, to lock the door, press the top button on the keypad, then turn the lock dial counterclockwise; wait a few seconds and it will be locked. Contact us if you need help with the lock!
When you come in: Please remove shoes at the door so that our lovely natural wood floors and throw carpets remain happy.
Your room: You will find the door open, and the lamp on. Please feel free to use the closet and drawers; the tv in the room has roku service and we subscribe to Netflix, Hulu (which has Showtime) and Amazon (Stars Available) streaming services, as well as to Sling Live TV (where HBO Live is found). The remote controls are found inside the lapdesk on the bed. The small lamp can be turned on and off by the WHITE remote control, upper (top) two buttons.
We are honored to have you as our guest, but please no unauthorized visitors. We like to know who is in the house, and other than the residents and cleaning and gardening people, you will enjoy a peaceful and private stay free of any random visitors, parties or other activities around the house.
Internet: You will find the password info provided on the welcome set placed on the bed.
Your Spa Shower: San Francisco remains on water restriction lockdown so please be sparing with shower time! However, you do have a lovely shower which can accommodate two; the top left handle turns the water on and off -- let it run a minute or so to get it warm. The bottom handle controls the temperature, but should be set to a medium hot level; you can adjust as you like. The right handle goes to the upper rain shower -- it eats water so we rarely use that one.
Coffee and Tea: Coffee and Tea & Hot Chocolate making facilities are available for your use; the coffee machine is always left on, so that you can make yourself a cup at any time, water already heated and ready to go. Simply lift up the top of the metal lever, drop in your selection, press the metal lever handle all the way fully down, place a cup under the coffee pod module, and press . Be sure to discard them and wipe the area clean when you are finished. You can refill the water carafe on the left side of the coffee pot by the sink nozzle, which accesses house-filtered water.
Private Area: The upstairs area (from stairs in kitchen) is completely private for the permanent tenant. Please do not go upstairs and please note noise can travel upstairs so we request that late night movies have low volumes; the Roku remote controls offer an earphone jack and you will find the splitter for two earphones if you like late night movies without worry of too much volume! Just plug your earbuds in.
Dirty Cups and Dishes: We request that you place dirty dishes in the lower dishwasher; the owner/tenant will turn it on each night, so that you can find clean dishes, cups and so forth there in the morning as needed. Don't overfill or drop things down below the dish racks or the spinner water jets cant spin freely -- so dirty dishes in the AM!
If you need to store some special food items, you may certainly stow them in the refrigerator (in the AirBNB section of the fridge which is clearly marked) where you will also find filtered water -- be sure to fully shut the fridge doors as they can stay ajar if not fully pressed to close;
Cleaning Service and Gardner: We have a cleaning service and a gardener come in once each week or as required so if you hear someone cleaning about and don't wish for your room and bath suite to be cleaned, please put the sign on your exterior door knob.
Towels and other toiletries: You will be provided a stack of fresh towels and some random travel shampoos and typical items for your use; if you need more please let us know. There is a travel hair blower in the drawer in the bathroom, if you need it.
Checking out: Please be sure to toss trash away in bins; we will be cleaning your room and providing fresh sheets for the next guest but if you could remove the sheets you used and place them in the clothes basket along with towels, wash rags, and so forth -- that would be lovely! Please check the closet and drawers to ensure you grabbed everything! And lock the door on your way out. We hope you will have had a lovely stay!
If you have any questions or requests that might make your stay peaceful, pleasant and fun -- feel free to contact us!
- These are old houses with wood floors and plaster walls so noise really travels! We try to keep it a quiet and inviting space for everyone, so kindness to our neighbors, guests and the owner/residents is our objective during your stay.
Please note that use of the living/lounge area and deck are reserved for use by permanent tenant so please be respectful as there is no "home office" use.
I'm a startup geek.
I own a company called BlastAround, which makes interactive electric scooters for corporate events, sports teams, and ride-around fun. Our scooter platform is designed for gaming (like obstacle courses) and is cloud-connected, offering lighting effects, sound, and proximity tagging. Some of our scooters are themed -- as characters, or for movie ecosystems like Star Wars... (imagine little ride-on landspeeders with laser tag features).
I also own a company called Core Professionals; we do database engineering and MSP off-site management for companies around primarily the bay area.
San Francisco is my home base. I own and manage properties in Santa Fe, New Mexico and Salt Lake City, Utah as well -- so am often out of town but my roommate will be there if you need anything (in case I'm not there when you arrive)!
I prefer airBnB whenever I travel; whenever I have a guest or exciting candidate in town, I like to put them up in great places so they can enjoy the best of this amazing place.
