Raetihi - historic timber milling town - a relaxed feel - approximately 1000 locals. Perfect stop-over point for the Tongariro crossing. Great nearby walks and bike rides - experience local attractions on this-side-of the mountain. DIY projects on-the-go: painting, finishing wood work, bathroom to renovate. Something needs fixing - let us know. Our other home - close to beach in Whanganui - in small community of Castlecliff. We live between the two locations - we love them equally. From the mountain to the sea - 1 1/2 hours. Stay at both locations - contact us for a special rate offer.

Brian & Verona are married - our youngest son 9. Our 2015 travel adventures through Europe introduced us to airbnb. When travelling we like to eat local food, stay with local people, and enjoy the local sights. We love a bit of quietness at the end of a busy day. We have 2 places we call home - both listed on airbnb - 1 near the mountain and 1 near the sea.
