The house itself was clean, comfortable, and well styled. The beds, doonas, pillows, and towels were very good quality.
However, we had significant difficulty reaching Mick leading up to our booking and during our stay. Our text messages, phone calls/voicemails, and Airbnb messages were all left unanswered from a month before our stay, all the way until the day before we arrived... and only then because we contacted Airbnb twice directly, two days and one day before arrival. There were no check-in instructions and we were left feeling anxious that we'd arrive after a four-hour drive with nowhere to stay.
Upon arrival, wifi was not set up, but Mick added credit to the dongle when we contacted him. However, this credit ran out after 2 days (of our 4 day trip). We were able to reach Mick, who said he would add more credit, but he never did. Consequently we spent extra on our own data to compensate. I note, this was simple web browsing and searching for directions, not large downloads or video streaming.
While not as serious an issue, there were no dishwashing tablets or laundry detergent either.
If there's no wifi, no ability to do laundry, and no way to use the dishwasher, the listing shouldn't say that it offers these amenities.
