The Mesa's Cabin is a beautiful place located in the Roan Mountain in the Amber Ranches community. The area is very private but it is close to towns and places to go, visit and things to do. VERY CLOSE TO WHITE WATER RAFTING, FALLS, RIVERS, MITCHELL MOUNT, BAKERSVILLE SHOPES, BURNSVILLE, ASHVILLE, BILTMORE ESTATES... The road trip to get to the cabin is spectacular! It is very scenic and charming.
The Cabin is made of wood and decorated with a special and loving touch. It has a wood spiral stairs that goes from the basement to the second floor. It is a masterpiece and one of the most beautiful woodwork you can ever see! It has a wraparound porch with a covered terrace with a picnic table to enjoy family meals outside. There is plenty of space where you can seat and enjoy the sunset or do pit fire on the winter. It is very comfortable and has all the things needed to relax and enjoy a great time with your love ones. It comfortable sleeps 8 people. There is a master bedroom in the second floor with a loft that has a twin bed and a pullout bed. This is great for families with children. The basement bedroom has two queen beds with two closets. This is ideal for two families that travel together. Both bathrooms are very comfortable and have warmer lights. The sofa is a sofa bed that is in the living room. The kitchen is fully loaded and very functional. It has a big island table where people can gather to have a wonderful meal or play games. We have a stone made fire pit close to the cabin that is a great hit with teens and adults that want to make a fire and share stories at night. There is a small creek a walking distance with a picnic table that is great for little kids to enjoy some splashing in the summer. The wrap around porch is great to relax and enjoy with a glass of wine in the summer or fall or a hot cocoa cup in the winter. The fall season is very pretty... you can see the changing of the leaves to its full potential. And the weather is perfect! Any time of the year is perfect! The winter time is spectacular! you will feel like you are inside a postal card...This is a magical mountain where you can fall in love again with your spouse and your family and friends. We have a caretaker that is available in case you need anything. PLEASE NOTE: We do not have air conditioning. But we do have tower fans and ceiling fan thru the cabin. Usually at night temperature reaches 60 to 70 degrees.
CAR: it is necessary to have a 4x4 vehicle to go up and down the mountain.

you need to contact my caretaker (i will provide number when booked) to 2 days before arriving in order to set up the time and key delivery. She will take you to the cabin and show you everything. Due to the weather, the gravel road up the is getting a little difficult to go up. We STRONGLY RECOMMEND USING A 4X4 VEHICLE. this will help with the traction and is going to be safer for all. thanks for your understanding.

The Mesa’s Cabin owner is not responsible or liable for any loss of the renter's personal property or bodily injury or damage of any nature from any cause to the renter (including his guests or invitees). You the renter are responsible for any damage done to the property during your stay.
PROPERTY CARE: As a vacationing tenant you are considered a paying guest of the owner of the property that you have rented. Please respect the owner by caring for the home, its furnishings, private owner closets, and grounds as if they were your own. Please do not rearrange the furniture or other home articles. If, however, you find it necessary to move something, please move it back before you leave. If you or someone in your party makes a mess, please see that it is cleaned up. If you use grill, then please clean the cooking surface and throw away the used coals after each use. In general, you are expected to take proper care of the property while enjoying the use of it.
LINENS AND TOWELS: Bed sheets, pillows, blankets, and towels are provided. They are in the linen closet inside the master bathroom and in the closets of the basement room. You are responsible of making the beds when you arrive and collecting all used linens and place them in the pantry closet before checking out.
Please adhere to the following rules:
Keep the Premises as clean and safe as the condition of the Premises permit, and cause no unsafe or unsanitary conditions in the common areas and remainder of the Premises that you use.
Dispose of all ashes, rubbish, garbage, and other waste in a clean and safe manner
DO NOT SMOKE INSIDE THE CABIN. You can smoke outside.
Do not deliberately destroy or negligently destroy, deface, damage, or remove any part of the Premises or render inoperable the smoke detector provided by the Owner, or knowingly permit any person to do so.
Smoke extinguisher can be found in the pantry closet.
Be responsible for all damage, defacement, or removal of any property inside the Premises that is in your exclusive control unless the damage, defacement, or removal was due to ordinary wear and tear, acts of the Owner or caretaker, defective products supplied or repairs made by the Owner, acts of third parties not invitees of the Tenant, or natural forces.
Notify the caretaker, Mrs. Hedrick of the need for replacement and of repairs during the tenancy which continued presence or use would jeopardize the safety of tenants and guests or harm the Premises.
TRASH COLLECTION: It is YOUR responsibility to bag and deposit into outdoor trash containers all trash and waste materials from everywhere on your rented property including inside the main home, outside upon decks, porches, and outside in the yard or driveway prior to your checking out. Trash containers are provided in the basement for you to deposit all trash. ALL TRASH MUST BE BAGGED, (trash bags can be found in the Pantry next to the kitchen). Failure to bag and deposit all trash into the proper container prior to your checking out will result in a fine being imposed of up $50.00. Mrs. Hedrick will take care of the disposal of the trash at the local trash collector.
KITCHEN: You can use the paper towels, trash bags, laundry detergent, and any other product you need during your stay. You can drink the water bottles in the fridge. You need to turn on the ice maker by lowering the handle. All bathrooms are provided with soap, toilet paper, shampoo, and conditioner.
Storm Policy Road Conditions –
Mountain Roads can be curvy and very steep and may be impassable in severe weather. While the gravel drive is well maintained, we highly recommend four-wheel drive and in some cases, chains during WINTER and snow time. It is advisable to keep track of the weather at least a week before arrival. For your own safety, arrive during daylight hours. The owner is not responsible for any damage to the vehicles or people due to the inclement weather.
