One bedroom in a bright 5th-floor apartment (shared bathroom) in peaceful Monteverde Vecchio.
The neighborhood features bars, restaurants, gelaterie, and grocery stores. The apartment is well-connected to the historic center and other major tourist sites by bus and regional rail lines. It is a few minutes' walk from Villa Pamphili park as well as the American University of Rome and American Academy in Rome, for those in Rome to conduct research or study.
The apartment is in a peaceful and secure palazzo in Monteverde Vecchio; it's on the 5th floor, so it gets plenty of sunlight especially in the morning and is generally pretty quiet.
There's a decently well-equipped kitchen with refrigerator, stove, oven, and electric kettle and a bathroom with a shower and washing machine.
You'll have full access to the kitchen (all cooking equipment and pantry staples like olive oil, tea, and coffee; please let me know if you'd like to use anything else just so I can keep things stocked) and bathroom; I'll generally keep my room closed, particularly if I'm not around. I try to keep noise and activity in the kitchen and bathroom to a minimum between the hours of 10-5:30 am, give or take, so I'd ask you to do the same. Please be quiet and respectful of me, the apartment, and your neighbors in the building, and I'll do the same for you!

Your housemate during your stay will be me (and occasionally my boyfriend). I'm a graduate student and a teacher, so most weekdays I am either at work or the library. I'll be sure to respect your space and privacy, but I am more than happy to offer tips on the neighborhood and help plan sightseeing trips--I teach Roman archaeology and ancient history and also work on the side as a running tour guide, so I'm more than happy to recommend the best running routes or you're more than welcome to hire me as a tour guide, running or not!
Please: absolutely no smoking in the apartment.
