SALTY and SANDY ...the salt air and warm sunlight brings the gulf right to us as the breeze through our 10 palm trees never stops. It is a unique beach area DUPLEX ..downstairs (Salty) and upstairs (Sandy).. and is brand new to the vacation rental market in Gulf Shores. We are making it available as TWO 2 bedrooms 1 bath or ONE 4 bedroom 2 baths. Salty can sleep 5 and Light can sleep 6. ...total 1854 sq feet both units; 927 sq ft each. A large family or two families can combine the two to be together, yet separate, or either unit is available individually for smaller groups or couples. Dogs are allowed under certain conditions (see below).
This home has been recently renovated with almost all new appliances, new paint inside and out, new exterior concrete board siding, and new metal roof.
Some of the bath fixtures (faucets, toilets, tub area) are brand new and the Coastal decor has all been updated. Brand new Mediacom cable tv installed.
OUTDOOR LIVING: As much as we love our new decor, you don’t come to a beach town to stay inside, so we enjoy the salt air outside with some outdoor living spaces. Upstairs (Light) has outdoor dining for four with cushioned seating on dark cast aluminum chairs, tables, and even a sleeping chaise with its own palm tree. Downstairs (Salty) features a cushioned wicker sofa in the shade of the overhang and a sweet white dinette for two overlooking the palms. It wouldn’t be a beach house without a hammock, so it’s directly under the 5 palm trees in the backyard.
Right in the heart of Gulf Shores .. walk to the end of the street to Dollar General Store, DeSoto’s Restaurant, Mikee’s Seafood, Ribs and Reds, gift shops, PuttPutt Golf, The HANGOUT, or walk two blocks to the beach with private deeded access and even private parking JUST FOR THIS NEIGHBORHOOD! Just outside your front door go right to the street sign and make a right (onto E. 4th) ...walk straight to the beach from there. There’s a light to help you cross Beach Blvd.
We love that it’s a 3 minute drive, a walk or bike ride to the dog park or fishing pier. You have the Gulf State Park amenities so close by. Convenience is everything and saves you valuable vacation (URL HIDDEN) much to do for families, but also the coziness of living in a residential neighborhood with full-time neighbors so you feel more like a local.
THINGS TO DO
The ZOO (it’s so close that sometimes you can hear the animals!), Gulf State Park Fishing Pier (one of the longest piers along the Gulf Coast...you can fish or just take a nice walk), charter fishing, a waterpark (Waterville) is just around the corner, and a new amusement park called OWA is soon to open in Foley. There are many, many more attractions with information available online, through brochures, or at the Chamber of Commerce on Hwy. 59 Also, you’ll never find more restaurants, especially SEAFOOD restaurants anywhere. It’s hard to pick a favorite. Tanger Outlet Mall is a short drive up Hwy. 59 with dozens of shops to choose from.
There is room for 4 vehicles. Also, if you’re towing a boat, there is room on the west side of the parking area. You won’t find that in many other rentals around here!
Well-mannered, non-aggressive dogs are the only pets allowed and are limited to TWO dogs per unit at $100 apiece per rental period. You must “pick up” after your pet in the yard and neighborhood. We have plastic bags in the kitchen to take with you and a blue trash receptacle in front for disposal of waste. Please no pets on beds, couches, or chairs. If your dog soils a rug, please use a soapy water mixture to clean up. Any damage by the dog(s) to the home or its contents will be assessed to your rental fees. If your dog is prone to barking you might be better suited to stay elsewhere, as barking can be considered a noise nuisance for our neighbors. We have policies in place to keep the peace in our home. Please do not leave your pet unattended if they have separation anxiety. We are not responsible for the safety of your pet while staying with us nor are we responsible for any injuries inflicted by the dog. We have plenty of dog-friendly restaurants, dog parks, and a beach that allows your furry friend to have the vacation with YOU! We provide pet water and food bowls for both units and have some grass in our sandy surroundings for their comfort.
