A very secluded and detached, 500 sq.ft. casita on top of a hill overlooking picturesque Red Rock formations such as Thunder Mountain, Sugarloaf, Doe Mesa,ChimneyRock, Coffee Pot, Cockscomb,Wilson Mountain, The Fin, The Ship and Steamboat Rocks.
A quiet neighborhood and short walking distance to trailheads and West Sedona; access to other trailheads requires a car.
A perfect guesthouse for either a couple or a solo traveler for a weekend getaway!
A casita/guesthouse separate from the main house with its own entrance and carport. There is a seating area outside next to the carport where guests can enjoy the red rock canyon views.
As the guests enters the casita,there are large and small picture windows throughout the well appointed guesthouse.Surreal views of the sunrise and sunset from the large picture windows. Beautiful slate tiled shower and flooring.A short walking distance to the Overlook Summit Vortex ( trailhead access on the casita's driveway) and the village of West Sedona.
Guests will have access to the main house's east and west zen gardens which are separate from the casita.Star gazing on a clear night is romantic and relaxing. Binoculars are on the bottom book shelf in the casita.

I will be on site in the main house and will answer any questions via text, phone, or email in case I am not on site.
(1)Breakfast consists of homemade bread, fresh fruit, yogurt, Open Nature granola, organic cereal and oatmeal, organic coffee and tea, almond milk creamer or half & half, cane sugar, stevia, and organic low fat milk or almond milk.
(2)There are two beds available. One is a Murphy's bed or a wall bed with a brand new Arctic Dreams 12" cooling gel full-size mattress. The other is a new handmade with natural fibers full-size futon converted to a sofa.
There are blankets in the drawers under the sofa.
(3) A Red Rock Pass is available upon request. Designated Trails requiring a Red Rock Pass are: Doe Mesa, Bear Mountain, Boynton Canyon, Jim Thompson, Brins Mesa, Cibola Pass, Palatki Ruins( reservations required) & Honanki Heritage Site(self-guided tour).Text or call and let me know ahead of time when planning to hike one or more of these designated trails and/or visit the ruins in order to obtain the Red Rock Pass.
(4) A comprehensive guidebook (black binder) with my recommendations of restaurants,outdoor activities, and hiking trails, maps,brochures,
and two hiking guidebooks are available to assist guest (s) with their stay.
(5) The outdoor chairs and table are stored in the closet next to the bathroom. Please wipe them off then put them back in the closet before departure.
No RV's or campers allowed on the carport; it has a limited space
Quiet time from 10 PM-7AM
Please help us conserve energy during your stay by turning off the air-conditioner and heating unit and lights before you leave the casita each day of your visit.Please keep the temperature between 72-74 during the hot months & between 68-72 during the cold months. Press the remote control once to turn the 2 units on & off standing in between them & pointing the remote towards the ceiling in order to control the units synchronously.
Please close the manually operated front black iron gate after each arrival and departure during your visit to avoid trespassers.
Leave casita key in the lockbox before leaving the property. A lockbox code will be sent to you by email or through airbnb before arrival. There will be a $50.00 charge for a lost key.
Please dispose kitchen and bathroom trash in the dark gray bin situated in the aqua-colored house's (#500) driveway down the hill (shared trash bin).
Please dispose recyclables in the plastic container in the carport.
Please only toilet paper to be flushed in the toilet .
Please use squeegee on the shower glass door after each use.
Please NO trash in the kitchen sinks since there is no garbage disposal unit.
Please wash any dirty dishes or pots before your departure.
Guests/Renters will accept,comply,and follow the indemnification requirement before booking The Aerie. Once guest(s) / renter (s) accept it,they can book their stay,& the waiver is effective upon arrival at The Aerie.

This property is located high upon a hill, and is contiguous to a National Forest. As such, there is an inherent, open, and obvious risk for injury, including, but not limited to, “slips and falls”. All Guests/Renters of this property, by agreeing to enter upon and/or rent this property, voluntarily, and knowingly, waive all claims to liability and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Owner against any and all claims to personal injury, or property damage, or any loss, of any type, arising from their use and enjoyment of the premises, regardless of the nature of the accident, injury, or loss.
It is mutually agreed that prior to entrance upon Owner’s property, Guests/Renters must obtain Owner’s express consent to the entrance of any additional Guests or Invitees of the Guests/Renters. And, further, it is agreed that Guests/Renters shall indemnify Owner against any and all claims of injury, damage, or loss, of any kind, to any and all Guests and/or Invitees of the Guests/Renters parties to this agreement.
