The wifi connection reminded me of the dial-up era, I had to wait for a good 5-10 minutes to load (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), and on the last night it stopped working altogether. There was no cable TV, just 5-6 stations which I think came from the collective antenna provided by the state. There was no hot water, just a little warm so you could tell it apart from the cold one. The toilet seat was broken so your bum would fall directly onto the cold dirty bowl. He did not clean the room at all the entire week we were there, and the common rooms were dusty and did not give the impression that they were ever cleaned. The bathroom hangers were held up with scotch tape, the bidet only had cold water, it always smelled like cooking oil in there because of the air vent. Both ourselves and two guys from Denmark staying in one of the other rooms were trying to figure out how to get the gas working, we were never told there was a safety knob, we had to investigate together to figure it out. They were complaining of the same thing, that in this apartment nothing works. One of the windows in our room did not close properly, as if it wasn't cold enough already. There was no heat, not even the air conditioning worked on hot. I got a cold staying inside. We had no salt, no can opener, no clothes iron. Everything in this house was just given a coat of paint to appear freshly renovated, but thickening doors and windows with paint just makes them not close properly. They even painted over the light switches, which we complained about from the very beginning, as it made them short circuit. The rooms would lock with the type of key my grandma uses for her mailbox, that kind with no ridges, and all of the rooms had the same, so there was really no point in locking up. Every single noise you made in this house echoed, the walls were paper thin and, since the windows didn't really close, you could hear everything going on outside as well, including the train passing nearby.
The owner on airbnb was Valentina, which we never met or even spoke to. There were reviews for the place already, even though we were the second to stay there, and the first customer was still there throughout our stay. I find that misleading, and even feel we were tricked. The initial photos on airbnb were replaced after we confirmed our booking, so we ended up staying in a totally different place than what we had seen and chosen when we booked this place. I find we paid well over what it was worth.
