Staying at this place was like a dream. To stay in a beautiful yacht in Venice was something I couldn't have imagined, but Riccardo made it come true for me and my partner. The captain, Riccardo, is a genuinely friendly, warm, motivated host. I don't speak Italian, but somehow we kept making each other laugh with funny stories and great conversation. His presence is a large part of what made our staying there so enjoyable. He looked after our needs and comfort, a bountiful breakfast was set out on white tablecloth every morning, and he is very knowledgeable about Venice and the touristic and non-touristic things to do in the city. The ship itself is beautiful, and though with a classic look, with beautiful wood, inside has USB ports and plugs to charge all your devices. The rooms are quite comfortable, with very few adjustments from being in a land-based accommodation. The ship is on the island of Certosa, which is not on the main island, but we found to be a great escape from the throngs of tourists when we were done for the day. The location has total peace and quiet, yet is easily accessible by the Vaporetto (water based city-bus) of Venice, on the #4 and #5 line, and complimentary after-hours shuttle service. My partner and I left right after breakfast and didn't return until well after 11pm and midnight, and never had a problem getting back. Before bed, we went up to the bow and drank Italian wine under the moonlight while feeling the gentle rocking and hearing nothing but the occasional fish jumping out of the water. I can't really describe that it must be experienced first hand. I give the experience 100% approval and think Riccardo is doing an amazing job as a host, and that's coming from an AirBnB superhost. I have a very short list of AirBnB locations that I would repeat, and this is one of them. Thanks for everything Riccardo!
