The Solis Beach Flat at Marbella Oeste was perfect, and the West Indies staff made our vacation so easy and enjoyable. Patricia sent us an email that provided info from transportation to groceries to places to eat and things to do. We flew in on a Thursday and took a five-minute, $13 taxi ride to our condo. It is on the third floor facing the beach, and we enjoyed beginning and ending our days watching the scenery from our balcony. We picked up our rental car the next morning from Charlie's, which is right across the street. There is also a Walgreen's, where you can pick up just about anything you need. Two 24-hour restaurants are across from Marbella as well, so the location is great. The Isla Verde area didn't seem to be flooded with tourists either.
The flat is gorgeous, and the kitchen was decked out with everything we needed for pancake breakfasts and a pot of coffee. We went out for our evening meals so didn't cook dinner, but the kitchen wouldn't disappoint if we had wanted to cook a five-course meal. I used info from Patricia and preordered some groceries for our arrival Thursday night. They were delivered and put away for us to enjoy the minute we got there.
Bonus points- a washer and dryer are in the guest bathroom, so visitors can pack lighter since they can do laundry during their stay. There is also a hair dryer, iron and ironing board, umbrella, beach towels, the most awesome beach chairs, a cooler, boogie boards, beach toys, and a life jacket for a toddler. Supplies for tidying up were available too.
I can't say enough about how comfortable the beds and pillows were, and the AC was in perfect condition.
The pool is huge and beautiful, there are party areas right outside between the building and the beach, and beach umbrellas and chaises are available to rent right on the beach. We spent our last full day under an umbrella enjoying the blue, blue water on the Fourth of July.
Adrian checked on us on Monday by texting to ask if the door lock was working properly. An email had alerted them to a low battery, but we had no troubles. She had a plan for us if we would have run into problems with the electronic lock before she could get there to change the battery. The staff and residents at Marbella Oeste were so friendly and helpful, just as were all the other people we asked for help or information wherever we went.
Returning our car on Tuesday was easy since Charlie's is across the street, and then with my car rental contract on hand Wednesday morning, We boarded Charlie's shuttle to the airport for our flight home. Just too easy!
Everything about the Solis Beach Flat made our vacation perfect, so if you're thinking about going to Puerto Rico, rent it. You won't regret it!
