we were able to keep in touch with the owners and responses were helpful and nearly immediate. this location is central to everything so heading out for the day, going in and out was so easy. the value of what we paid was better than expected (we hate staying in hotels) for that 'homey' local feel. the place is clean, modern, minimal, hardwood floors, extremely spacious and has all the amenities you'll need. HUGE windows look out onto a nice view of a rooftop garden, but felt privacy (shades cover entire windows). parking is not included so we parked in the garage adjacent to the building (which is one of the cheapest downtown. we parked over night for 4 days @$37 per full day), we walked everywhere, no need to drive. train is not too far and user friendly ($3 per direction, we visited wrigley field for a game and tour). Chicago has so much to do, we will definitely be back. too bad the toronto blue jays lost!
