THE ROOM has its own private bathroom and is on the second floor of the house. The bed has a very comfortable mattress for the queen size bed, a desk, and chair. Netflix, Amazon Video, and local stations are provided for the TV. High-speed Wi-Fi and clean bath towels are provided. The house is keyless so you can easily check yourself in. The house has two other bedrooms also used by Airbnb guests. Each room also has a passcode lock on the bedroom door for privacy.
THE KITCHEN is open for your use and shared with the other two bedroom suites. Everything you probably need during your visit, stove, fridge, dishwasher, plenty of glasses and plates, etc is provided. The washer/dryer are also located here and are for guest use.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD has coffee shops, great food, and Whole Foods for groceries all within a few blocks.
GETTING AROUND is easy. The subway is 2 blocks away and all of center city is easily walkable from the house. The Convention Center is walkable and the historic Old City is a 10 minute taxi ride away.
PARKING on the street is free in front of the house which makes it pretty difficult to find a spot. However, because of the houses central location it is best to park a car in the nearest garage which is 1 block away. The regular price is $20 per day and I can send you a 20% off coupon.
Although check-in is at 3pm, guests can access the house anytime after 8am to leave their luggage in the shared kitchen (except if the entire house is being rented then guests can access the kitchen after 11am). Guests may be able to check-in before 3pm upon request and availability. You can also leave your bags in the kitchen after check-out until 9pm (except if the entire house is being rented then guests can access the kitchen until 3pm).
I am 37 and work hard and laugh harder. For 15 years I have been working/living in Philadelphia and loving it! I grew up in Philly's suburbs and moved here as soon as I could. For the first 15 years of my professional career I worked tirelessly for several LGBT non-profits doing direct service work. I also spent the last 7 years working with teenagers in an after school program which I loved doing.
I care a lot about people which is why even though I generally have multiple jobs I also volunteer a lot! My dad worked 3 jobs to support our family which taught me the value of hard work. In all of my spare time I hang out with my growing circle of friends.
I have been hosting for 5 years now and continue to love hearing guests stories of what brings them to town and look forward to sharing my home and welcoming you to Philadelphia.
