Stable Steps is a pretty, reverse level, barn conversion set in a gorgeous garden and surrounded by private woodland that you will be able to explore to your hearts content. There is no WiFi at the property so this is a perfect chance to rediscover family holidays without distractions, playing in the garden and woods, al fresco dining on a summers evening with a glass of wine and listening to the birds in the trees. Stable Steps is a pretty, stone, reverse level, barn conversion, surrounded by some stunning mature gardens and private woodland, there are walks down to the bottom of the valley. The barn has a traditional feel with a large iron wood burning stove and some exposed stone work. There is no WiFi in the property which makes it a perfect opportunity to reconnect with the family with no distractions, just peace and quiet in a idyllic location.
Stable Steps is situated in the Glynn Valley a predominantly wooded area nestling around the top of the Fowey River. Here the A38 cuts through from Liskeard to Bodmin and hence there is excellent access to most regions of Cornwall, from the picturesque fishing villages on the south coast of Looe and Polperro to the golden sandy bays from Padstow to Newquay. To the north are the wilds of Bodmin Moor with fabulous walks, wild ponies and windswept Tors. The Eden project is also within 30 minutes. There are supermarkets at both Liskeard and Bodmin and Trago Mills is a mere 3/4 of a mile away, here you can make the most of discount retail therapy, the garden park or the family fun park.
First Floor: The main door opens into the double aspect, open plan, lounge dining room with the two areas separated by the staircase to the ground floor. The lounge has comfortable seating, a flat screen TV and a wood burning stove, there is a dining table and chairs. Door leads into the kitchen with a small four seat breakfast table and fitted units, separate external door leads to balcony and steps to ground floor. further door leads through utility room to upstairs shower room with WC and hand basin.
Ground Floor: The stairs open into a long corridor with external door and further doors to; Double bedroom with 4'6" double bed and storage. Family bathroom with shower over, WC and hand basin. Small bedroom with 3' single bed with truckle bed. Second bedroom with 4'6" double bed and storage:
Exterior: There is parking on the drive for 2-3 cars. There is a good sized, well maintained, mature garden with patio table and chairs and a barbecue. There is also approx 1.5 acres of private woodland to explore.
Facilities & Services
There is an oil central heating system and a wood burning stove in the lounge. The kitchen has a range of fully fitted cupboards & work tops. There is a large electric oven and hob, a microwave, toaster and kettle, there is a fridge / freezer. There is a dishwasher. There is a washing machine. The sitting room has a large flat screen digital TV & DVD player. There is an iron & ironing board. There is no WiFi although there is 4G mobile phone reception and WiFi is available in the village of St Neot.
Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are included but you will need to provide your own beach towels. There is parking available for 2-3 cars on the drive. Regrettably there is no smoking and dogs may not stay at Stable Steps. There is a cot and high chair.
General Booking Information
Arrival / Departure is normally a Friday.
£200 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a security deposit is required.
You must pay particular attention to details on how to leave your accommodation upon departure. Please note that in accordance with our booking conditions, it is your responsibility to:
1. Report and pay for any damages immediately to the Owner or housekeeper.
2. All personal waste must be removed from inside the property at the end of your stay and placed in the dustbins provided. Please note and adhere to any additional instructions in the property regarding waste disposal.
3. Ensure all washing up is done and excess food is removed from the property at the end of your stay.
4. Leave the property in a clean and respectable condition upon departure.
5. Pet owners are reminded about the specific conditions regarding pets at properties.
Please be reminded that in accordance with our terms & conditions, part or all of your pre-authorised security deposit (should it apply to your booking) is at risk if any of these conditions are not met.
