This is a nice space in an excellent location. Close to the center of Venice, but also very quiet. The fountain is a nice touch. The space is more than adequate for two people. We cook, and overall, the kitchen is sufficient to make reasonable meals.
This said, our experience was mixed. The issue was that there was a major construction project that started 8am Saturday morning, including saws that made conversation impossible (much less enjoying the private space). We were not notified about this before, or after it started. We contacted the owner, who was away. At first she was surprised that there was construction. Then, she said that the sink had collapsed. But this seemed to be a well planned project that involved cabinet installations, not an emergency effort. And, in any case, why weren't we contacted about the situation? We complained, and the construction stopped until Tues AM, the day of our departure. But this meant that during our final morning, we lost the peace & quiet that we had paid for.
We have fairly high standards for cleanliness. The unit was mostly acceptable, but we did do some touch up cleaning on the bathroom walls. The lighting could be improved by the entrance (from the alley); it's pretty dark coming in after sunset. Also, the mirror light in the bathroom didn't work, which made shaving a challenge. However, all of this is fairly minor.
One last thing. The owner was away during our stay. Her delegate during the week, Mark, was responsive. I think her son was supposed to cover the weekend, but he clearly did not think that he had any responsibility for the Airbnb. So, there were long stretches when our questions and requests went unanswered.
