The Cabin is a great cosy and quirky space with all that you need for a fab break in a beautiful location, a working farm with cows, friendly dogs and wildlife, walks, a great pub and Bath 10 mins drive away - we welcome you!
Our highly individual, self contained holiday cabin 10 mins from Bath city centre, offers the unique opportunity to escape to a small working farm set within a beautiful and peaceful village location, great for walking and cycling. An excellent village pub is within walking distance and the wonderful city of Georgian Bath with all its culture, shops, bars and restaurants is only a short drive away, or why not let the bus take the hustle and go by Park and Ride - it takes only minutes!
There is much to offer throughout the year, festivals, theatres, museums, christmas market and the open air skyline pool at the famous Bath Thermae Spa is a must. Bath University, The Ameriacn Museum are close by and Bristol Airport is but a 50 minute drive away. Bristol, Wells, Longleat, Cheddar Gorge, Stonehenge are all within easy reach, even the coast is an approx 90 mins by car or train.
The Cabin is an 'upside down' sort of place, decorated with a hint of the sea throughout. A small flight of stairs lead to the top deck, where there's a King size bed, flat screen TV, an area to sit and relax and a petitie dining area, all with the advantage of amazing country views from every window. Through plantation shutters, an oak door leads to your own private balcony where breakfast can be enjoyed or maybe a glass of wine before supper.
The lower deck and entrance hall has a walk in shower room and a perfectly equipped galley kitchen with breakfast bar. Linen, towels, bath robes, slippers and a selection of food goodies, provide the essentials on your arrival.
The Cabin at Anchor Farm offers a fabulous and tranquil all year round escape for 2. We invite you to come and share in the experience which we are privileged to enjoy every day and create your own mix of 'town and country'.

In the 1990's, we moved here from the city of Bristol with our 4 kids, 2 dogs and a cat. The place was a wreck and we knew absolutely nothing about farming and land management. Living like gypsy's in a caravan for 6 months, we set about making the place habitable for us all, then bought cattle, sheep, a stroppy goat and chickens - fast forward 20 years and we've never looked back! It's been an amazing adventure with high's and low's along the way, opening up a whole new path of learning and skills I would never have believed possible! It even led to me starting a small business here working outdoors with children as a Forest School Leader.
Now retired (apart from the farm), I'm an outdoor kind of women and love nature in all it's beauty and wildness throughout all the seasons. I relish new opportunities, challenges, travel (although 'cause of the farm, the dogs and the wonderful place where we live, our trips have to be very special), and of course must involve one or two wild experiences! It's brilliant being near the city of Bath for culture, restaurants, shops and bars to meet up with family and friends. I'm very lucky- I can share in the benefits of both town and country living in equal measure - we welcome you to come and share in it too!
