Ostale napomene

Flowing through Lusmagh and Banagher the River Shannon is the major waterway in Ireland. The Little Brosna joins the Shannon at Lusmagh and the Grand Canal joins the Shannon just up stream at Shannon Harbour as also does the Brosna River. All these water ways provide unbeatable angling. There are great stocks of fish including salmon, trout, bream, tench and perch in abundance. Pike fishing is particularly rewarding. The area boasts excellent fishing access and facilities, bait shops and outboard boat hire

Our holiday in the Chestnut cottage was a really relaxing and quiet time. Marian and John are so nice and helpful. The town Banagher is near by (by feet about 1h, by car under 10min). The cottage is described as a 300 year old house, which has a lot of ambience. The standard can be described as simple, but you get everything you need. The family dog Buddy is a very nice guy too...don't worry, he will take care of you :-) Have a wonderful time there.

Would thoroughly recommend this cottage just loved our stay there. Very friendly helpful hosts.

John and Marian well known in our small village of Lusmagh. John's family have been farming here for generations. We have mostly cattle on the farm fed on grass in summer and silage in the winter time. Marian loves to keep a nice garden with perennial flowers and roses.
We enjoy meeting many nice visitors to our cottages in this way we have made lots of friends from far away places.
