Lots of local amenities including 2 large Scotmids, a huge Waitrose as well as delicatessens and coffee shops. Inverleith Park is across from the flat if you need to go for a run as well as Glenogles for a swim / gym. We are on good bus routes but a walk to all the theatres and galleries will only take you 10 – 20 mins. Free parking is 5 mins round the corner. Shower and bathroom is shared and will make space for you in the fridge if you are staying for more than a few nights.
Bright, airy, colourful and friendly - we have been very lucky to have some really amazing folk stay with us and that's how they describe our flat.
Your room is large, clean, light and quite soundproof so if we are up watching films you would never hear a sound, that's due to the old stone building we are in. We offer little extras like a selection of tea and coffee, water jug,
towels, hairdryer, straighteners, quality shampoo and conditioner so you don't need to pack those. There are loads of books on the shelves should you wish to borrow and a range of breakfast items for you to start your day off with before you go off exploring.
You have access to a shared bathroom with shower (over a bath) and we are happy for you to borrow as many books from the bookshelves in the hallway. If you are staying for more than a few nights (over 4) I am happy for you to store some food in the kitchen / fridge. Tea / Coffee will provided as well as cereals and toast for breakfast. We are a dairy free household and there is always a selection of oat/almond/rice milk in the fridge.

As we are working full time / school we will be out most of the day and tend to get to bed early at night (hence quiet hours being 11pm - 6am) during the week but happy to socialise and point you in the right directions during your visit.
We are on the second floor of an old Victorian tenement building so please note you will be lugging your luggage up two floors! Also, after August 2017 we will be having a new guest staying with us, her name is Pituca Sapphire and she is a gorgeous little white cat.
- Quiet hours between 11pm and 7am - please be respectful, you will be staying in a family home and we are up early for work/school during the week
- If you are up early you must let me know in advance so we can co-ordinate using shared bathroom
- Happy for you to have light snacks in the kitchen (if you are staying more than a few days) but no cooking
- no additional guests unless with prior arrangements
- After Aug 2017 only - please do not feed the cat, her meow is a lie, she will have been fed by us :-) and do NOT let her out, she knows she is not allowed!
Love the arts, particularly music, film and spoken word, thoroughly enjoy sharing these pursuits particularly with my teen son who is now introducing me to new sounds! I love cooking as well and always have a spare plate to share should it be needed. We live in a bright, sunny, bang in the centre of Edinburgh flat which we now have on airbnb, come and stay during the various Edinburgh festivals or enjoy a short break in Edinburgh, its a beautiful city!
