So things seem a little different now... Please know that this home welcomes and respects EVERYONE.
The home is a 1948 3 BR, 2 BA mid century modern split ranch. The room available is located on the NW corner of the house with private bathroom adjacent.
I occupy the southern portion of the house, opposite the living room.
I'm very laid back when it comes to hosting. I prefer to allow you to feel as much at home as possible.
I'm very happy to be your contact person during your stay. If i'm available, I'd be happy to take you to some of my favorite places and explore others.
I'm a fan of music, comedy and craft beers. San Diego has 120+ breweries now. I've pinned most of these on g-maps and can send you the link, if you wish. If you enjoy live music or comedy, ask me about who is in town during your stay.
As far as rules... I just request that those staying are respectful and responsible of my pets, home and belongings and be kind and courteous. If there is anything related to common areas, please ask. I do keep myself fairly occupied, but am happy to assist in whatever you may need.
Please no overnight guests that are not part of the original request.
if you wish to enjoy the outside courtyard area, please just bring it inside after 10pm. Sound carries and can be disruptive to the neighbors.
If you wish to use the pot/pans in kitchen, please do not use any metal items in them that can scratch.
Pets are part of our family too and may be permitted for stay. Ask me if this is something you are considering. Pets will count as an additional person, if permitted.

I'm a research biologist by day and music takes up most nights.
I do my best to find time to play soccer and enjoy outdoor activities like kayaking, snorkeling, and hiking the nearby mountains. A night out for me is usually just catching a band or comedy act.
I'm a big fan of craft beers and take advantage of San Diego's numerous breweries (responsibly, of course!). I also try to make it up to the vineyards each harvest and frequent farmer's markets. I'm definitely more the kind of person who appreciates the local businesses rather than the corporate chains.
Hosting with Airbnb has been a fantastic experience (hosting since July 2011). Thanks to Airbnb, I've met a lot of wonderful people and made some incredible friends, whom I keep in touch with and visit.
I began using this site as a way to give back, by offering a low cost, safe and friendly travel option.
It reminded me of how my ancestors would open their doors to family and friends during their travels. That is my goal for your visit: to feel welcomed as a long-lost friend or distant family member, rather than a random stranger passing through. I'm not really a host. I want you to feel like this is your home too. I hope you'll return the next time you are in town.
As the old saying goes... "I'm not only a member, but also a client"
I do the majority of my travel, staying at airbnb locations or at my new friends that stayed with me a year or so prior.
Because of this, I'm doing my best to work on learning new languages. Currently working on Italian, German, and French. If English isn't your first language, i'll do my best with yours.
Hope to see you soon.
