Bunks! Who doesn't love bunks? Especially well-made, sturdy ones! Reminiscent of summer camp, or sharing a room with a sibling while growing up. Ahh, those days! Well, this room is a bit of an upgrade, so that mum and pop can also sleep in with the kids. Or, if you're a foursome, the ones who aren't a couple can choose the bunk.
Food in the bedrooms tend to invite unwanted "guests" ie the roach and the rodent. To keep these freeloaders from sharing your bed, we advice that you eat in the dining. Besides, there's always room for you at the table :)
This should go without saying, but it would be best if you wear appropriate clothing when you get here, as the locals are pretty conservative AND it certainly wouldn't do you good freezing to death wearing a mini or the shortest of shorts walking around town.
A plumbing problem can quickly ruin the most pleasant vacay. You can prevent this by disposing things like sanitary napkins in the bin we've provided in the toilet. That way you can flush all worries down the drain!
Whilst we do a meticulous pro cleaning between each guest's stay, help us get through with the process quicker and keep the costs down by washing any dishes or kitchenware you have used and putting dirty towels in the hamper before you leave. Take care to separate the plastics and paper from the regular trash. Thanks for helping us protect the environment!
We get it that you may want additional guests to stay over. In the event that you want them to, please give us a holler. We're reasonable folk and will accommodate wherever possible.
Everyone should have their own space in a shared dwelling. We respect your privacy. And if it isn't too much to ask, we'd love for you to return the favor and refrain from entering our private quarters.
We understand that accidents happen. Keep calm and inform us when they do. Chances are, we can fix them as effortlessly as possible. We'd give you a thumbs up for your honesty!
To keep the floorboards squeaky clean and mud-free, we have a no-shoes policy inside our home. We'll lend you comfy indoor slippers if you're not up for walking around barefoot.
What you do in your personal time is entirely up to you, but when staying at our place we have a strict no-drug use policy. This is just the law... not so much as one of our rules.
To keep our costs down (and pass those savings on to our guests) we'd like it a lot if you could switch off lights and other electrical gadgets when they're not in use or when you're leaving the house. Mother Nature will thank you, too.
If you want to listen to muzak past 9pm, please think about the others and listen with your earpods or at a lower volume. We'll make sure to mind our noise, too. Unless it's The Band Perry. They're okay to play at any time in all areas of the house :)
Just as we encourage smart electric use, we urge you to be just as with water while you are visiting, since it is being shared with the rest of the community. Make sure to secure the taps before leaving the bath and let us know if they are leaking.
Life would simply not be the same without my family, friends, coffee, music and socks (in that order). I'm also a huge fan of going to the beach, and I can lose myself reading fiction. I love visual thrillers, though, and cartoons; my taste for entertainment is quite eclectic. Once in a while, you can catch me crooning Country beats, and being Vegetarian is my thing.
As an Airbnb host, I'm generally a cool, dependable guy. My wife calls me Mr Fixitall. I see hosting as a give-and-take relationship between host and guest. FYI, though, I may come off strict, but ALWAYS within reason.
Be happy and just enjoy life. And always be thankful for every blessing that comes your way.
