Set in historic Tamboerskloof, this charmingly renovated and decorated Victorian villa is a must to choose! Offering four bedrooms, original wooden floors, and expansive views from its peaceful setting, this small, delightful character villa is a wonderful option for a stay in Cape Town’s City Bowl area.
The villa enters into a comfortable central living room with bedrooms grouped around it. On one side there are two double bedrooms with a shared interleading en-suite bathroom with shower. The first bedroom has a lovely alcove with bay windows and an armchair. Both rooms have double beds and ceiling fans. The third bedroom is on the other side of the living room and has a full en-suite bathroom, double bed and ceiling fan. The rooms all have a delightful colonial charm about them in keeping with the historic nature of the house.
Stairs lead up to a spacious upper level with large windows, plenty of light and an easy indoor-outdoor flow. The fully equipped kitchen is designed for social meal preparation. There are stools at the counter and the 8-seater dining table just beyond that. On one side of the dining area large glass stacking doors fold right back giving a sense of dining al fresco and allowing a free flow of air. On the other side are French doors opening on to the front balcony.
A fireplace separates the dining area from the upper lounge and warms up both rooms on chilly winter evenings. These rooms are characterised by beautiful chandelier light fittings, baroque mirrors, and flowing white curtains. The living room is furnished with stylish couches and armchairs, and there are glass sliding doors leading out to the terrace with its potted garden. A ceiling fan spins above you as you enjoy barbecues and comfortable outdoor dining on the terrace. Views spread out from Signal Hill across the city and to the mountains beyond.
The master bedroom is located on this upper level and has a partially open-plan en-suite bathroom. The room has a Queen-size bed and doors lead out to a private balcony with table and chairs from which to soak in the view. The bathroom has an enclosed shower and a bath with a view. A door leads out to another balcony at the front of the villa.
There is a private plunge pool located on the enclosed front terrace with its well-tended pot plants, paving and outdoor seating.

PERIOD OF RENTAL
The Guest shall take occupation of the premises after 14h00 on the day of arrival unless otherwise arranged and agreed by both parties.
The Guest shall vacate the premises and restore possession thereof to the Villa Owner at 10h00 on the date of departure unless otherwise arranged and agreed by both parties.
If the Guest wishes to extend the period of rental, this can be arranged through Icon Villas(The Villa Specialist) on the following conditions:
The property must be available for a further rental period;
The extension must be agreed to in writing by the Guest and the Villa Specialist on behalf of the owner and shall be null and void unless signed by both parties.
The additional rental to be paid shall be agreed to in writing.
The breakage deposit shall not be used to pay for such additional rental.
The Guest undertakes to vacate the premises and restore possession thereof to the Villa Owner at 10h00 on the agreed extended day of departure.
For arrivals and departures between 6pm and 8am, a late or early check-in/ -out fee of R350 is charged and will be added to your invoice.
The Guest shall not be entitled to sub-let or to permit any other parties than those stipulated above, to occupy the premises.
The Guest shall not be entitled to cede or assign all or any of his/her rights in terms of this agreement, without the written consent of the Villa Specialist acting on behalf of the Villa Owner.
DAILY RATE & DEPOSIT
The reservation will only be confirmed if 50 % deposit is received within 3 working days of receipt of the conditions of reservation.
The deposit shall be paid to the Villa Specialist by direct deposit into the account number as per the invoice. The confirmation of the deposit shall be e-mailed to (EMAIL HIDDEN)
The Guest acknowledges that unless such confirmation is e-mailed to the Villa Specialist, it will not be possible to identify the payment and allocate it to the credit of the Guest.
The balance payment is due 6 weeks prior to arrival.
The Guest shall pay the Villa Specialist a breakage deposit as per the invoice seven working days before date of arrival. Such sum shall be held as a deposit in the account of the Villa Specialist and the Villa Owner and/or the Villa Specialist shall have the right to apply the whole or portion thereof towards payment of any liability of whatever nature for which the Guest is responsible, including but not limited to damages caused to the premises, replacement of items missing in inventory and legal fees, if necessary.
The applicable bank fees shall be deducted.
The Villa Specialist shall retain the breakage deposit until all repairs and/or replacements have been completed. Should none be necessary, the security deposit will be refunded fifteen days after departure.
The Guest will not be allowed to take occupation until the full rental and breakage deposit has been paid.
The Guest shall pay for any extras (Telkom telephone account, guest laundry, airport transfer ect.) in respect of his/ her reservation upon demand by the Villa Specialist.
The Guest undertakes to contact the Villa Specialist as soon as possible should any complaints or problems arise during the course of their stay so that these can be remedied. The Villa Specialist cannot be held responsible for issues out of their control such as failure of the water supply, electricity, telephone and internet services, pool filtration, or any of the appliances. The Villa Specialist also does not have control over building works on neighbouring villas. The Villa Specialist undertakes to resolve any problems to the best of their ability as soon as possible once notified of them. Complaints or problems must be brought to the attention of the Villa Specialist as soon as possible during the Guest’s stay as neither the Villa Specialist nor the Villa Owner can be expected to help if only notified following departure.
In the event that the Guest vacates the property without notification during the rental period, the Guest will lose any rights they might otherwise have had to compensation.
Should the Guest cancel the reservation more than 3 months before the date of arrival, the Villa Specialist shall retain 30% of the total accommodation fee.
Should the Guest cancel the reservation less than 3 months before the date of arrival, the Villa Specialist shall retain the full 50% deposit plus admin fee.
Should the Guest cancel the reservation less than 6 weeks before the date of arrival, the Villa Specialist shall retain 75% of the total accommodation fee.
Should the Guest cancel the rental less than 4 weeks before the date of arrival the full amount will be retained. However, should the venue be re-let by Icon Villas, the Guest can apply for a refund. Icon Villas management would determine such refund.
