The room is in a beautiful old San Francisco Victorian with high ceilings and a big lovely backyard, very well located in the Mission district. We love art, textiles, and good mattresses! We are a 15 minute walk to BART down the most gorgeous, mural-laden street in the city; steps from delicious tacos, coffee, and San Francisco favorites (Philz Coffee, Humphry Slocombe, Arizmendi Bakery, Taqueria Vallarta) and numerous busses. Good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
Our home is a classic San Francisco Victorian in the Mission district, steps from everything you need! Our flat is well kept, with new floors in the bathrooms and recently refinished wood throughout the house. Our home is colorful, full of art and textiles, and with a big excellent kitchen you are welcome to use. The bedroom you will be staying in has a great new mattress, a large set of drawers, and standing closet for you to use. The room belongs to my mother and her partner, but they are currently in Mexico working on a documentary so it is available for others to enjoy it!
There will be coffee and tea available for you to make yourself in the mornings whenever you like, as well as a light breakfast (usually some local baked goods and a gluten free option like yogurt or oatmeal).
We are generally relaxed and friendly, and will give you your space or help you out as you like.
Your room is a well sized bedroom with a comfy bed and a bureau and standing closet for your use. We invite you to spend time in our dining room / sitting room, a favorite room in the house, to lounge in the back sun room and look out at the garden, to use our well stocked kitchen, and to spend time in the beautiful green garden full of flowers with several seating options. There's a TV with Roku if you want, and wifi of course.

From getting around San Francisco on public transit or by car, to advice on food and activities and the BEST sights, just let us know how we can help you :). Also if you want your privacy we are happy to go about our business and let you do the same.
If you are planning on coming in March, there is some construction going on outside in the median of Potrero Avenue. It makes driving around here a shade more tricky.
Hi, I'm from San Francisco, a graduate student in Geography and adjunct lecturer. I love cooking for friends, reading novels in the sun, painting, and taking walks through my beautiful city. When I travel I love homey places with lots of color and light.
