Awesome, large (86m2) two bedroom apartment in Kamppi, smack in the center of Helsinki, "close to everything". The place is spacious, bright, and well equipped. Double glazed windows ensure a quiet stay despite of the buzzing city life below. Read some of the reviews of our guests for a confirmation!
The apartment has a minimalist and stylish (we think) interior design, and was renovated in 2012. Since then the wooden floors, the paint job of window panes and the kitchen surfaces suffered some wear, bringing some extra charm to the flat.
The flat has everything one needs for a comfortable living, from the kitchenware to household appliances, large screen TV, high-speed Internet and WiFi, sound system, etc. The TV channel selection is modest and most of the channels are in Finnish. You can use the HDMI cable to connect your own device, or the Apple TV to cast your programs.
The apartment has one small bedroom and one large bedroom separated from the living room by large, old style doors. There is a bathroom with shower and WC and a secondary small WC. The kitchen is large and equipped with a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer, blender, coffee machine, toaster, microwave, water boiler.
You'll have the entire the flat for yourself and you may use anything that you find in the flat. You are welcome to use and consume anything you find in the fridge and kitchen cupboards.

Depending on the arrival date, time and our availability, we'll either be meeting you at the flat to let you in or leave the keys for you at a pick-up point such as airport's Service Desk or a kiosk in the immediate vicinity of the flat.
On departure, you can leave the keys inside the flat and just the push the main door closed.
The kitchen appliance manuals are in the kitchen, in the left most top cabinet, next to the exit door. If you run into troubles, please do check the available manuals.
Enjoy the flat
Have fun but known that this is a home and NOT a hotel room, so treat it accordingly. Pay special attention to the floors and kitchen surfaces which can be easily damaged.
Keep it clean
You are not charged a separate cleaning fee, therefore you are expected to leave the flat as tidy as you found it.
Respect the neighbors
Be respectful and polite to the neighbors, keep the noise down after 22:00.
Don’t abuse the wifi
Don't download illegal stuff over the wifi.
No smoking and no fire
You are not allowed to smoke in the flat, not even at the window. Smoking is allowed only outside the building. Don't burn candles or incense. Don't temper with the smoke detectors.
Save the environment
The garbage is to be sorted into biodegradable and non-biodegradable. Take the garbage into the backyard, there is a wooden shack you can actually see from the living room window. The building provides also separate bins for recycling paper, carton, glass and metal.
Save water, save electricity, turn the lights off when not in the room.
I'm an easy-going and relaxed, fun-loving, optimistic and social fellow, working in product portfolio management but software engineer by education and computer geek/entrepreneur as a hobby.
I like doing sports, especially volleyball, Freeletics and more recently water polo. I like gadgets, movies, technology, I listen to a lot of music and enjoy hanging out with friends. I love animals and follow a strict vegetarian (frequently vegan) diet.
For vacations, I very much enjoy either hiking and nature or city visits. I typically check out the modern art museums in the locations I visit, also the architecture and buildings and some nice bars.
I am currently living in Berlin and I am renting out my home in Helsinki, a flat that I co-own together with Pekka.
