Two private rooms in a classical-modern home in a quiet lake-dotted community of east Charlotte, amidst diverse flora & wildlife — 17 mins. from uptown & 10 mins. from UNCC. Creative spaces, captivating angles. The first room is an upstairs loft with a double bed sunlit by huge translucent skylight. The second is a downstairs bedroom with a desk and twin bed that expands to twice its width. (The loft is available alone in another listing.)
This listing includes both the loft plus a second room, and it's ideal for a party over two, or for two guests who wish to have private rooms.
Room 1: An appealingly-angled second-story loft in which there is a bedroom, bathroom, and balcony area. It's a small and simple yet creative space which features a FULL BED (double bed) which cozily sleeps two, and a walk-in closet. Balcony overlooks living room and huge window view of lake. (NOTE: ***Loft doesn't allow much sound privacy as walls don't reach the ceiling***).
ROOM 2: Downstairs room is also small, with a desk. The twin bed can be easily expanded to double its size (about as wide as a king bed) so that 2 people can sleep in it (but it takes up most all the space of the room). At the base of the bed are two large empty drawers you can use. The closet has some things in it but there is space for hanging clothes. There is a half bathroom you can use. For a shower, guests share the one in the upstairs loft.
Guests share the downstairs kitchen, dining room and living room with the host.
Safe, quiet neighborhood ideal for a walk or run. The grassy back yard is visited by geese, deer, squirrels and rabbits — and borders two small lakes, home to water turtles and a great blue heron. Guests enjoy rising to a (distant) rooster's crows.
Located off Harris Blvd. 9 minutes south of UNCC. 13 minutes from NoDa and Plaza Midwood. 17 minutes from uptown Charlotte.
It's located in a RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD that is quiet, safe and friendly, composed of mostly traditional ranch homes. There are lots of trees, and tiny lakes, including two behind my house.
The airport is about 26 minutes away.
There are bus stops within a mile of the home. Uber/Lyft is an option.
