Timothy's place was the perfect place for what we were looking for for our stay in Alaska. We were there for 10 nights & it had everything we needed. It was clean, the kitchen was stocked with all the dishes & utensils needed to cook a full meal, there were plenty of towels, & the bed was comfortable & warm! The laundry facilities were an added bonus! I suggest either bringing your own bathroom essentials or getting them at a local store when you get there if you plan on stay more than a couple nights because the hotel sized essentials won't last longer than that, I always bring my own anyway. After we were there a couple nights Tim texted to check in on us to see if we needed anything, I thoight that was nice of him. Communication was never an issue, he was always quick to answer with any questions we had. We were visiting family, but it was my first visit to Alaska, so the main thing I wanted to see were the Northern Lights...we got a beautiful show right outside our door! My husband lived there for 16yrs & said he never got to see them like they were that night, they were all colors & amazing! So, this is a perfect place to see the lights, & there are plenty of places nearby if you want to get out in the country where it's more secluded. If you're looking for good places to eat we went to North Pole & ate at Pagoda (Chinese-probably the best I've ever had!), the Turtle Club (super expensive, the prime rib is good, but I didn't think it was as amazing as everybody made it out to be. They only have well water there, even in the drinks, so if you're picky about water order a bottled water. The meals are gigantic though, so don't order the biggest one unless you're wanting leftovers, even the smallest steak was huge.), Taco Azteca (Big portions & really good Mexican food), the Crepery (AMAZING crepes!!! I would've earn here every morning if I would've known about it sooner!), & Tiparos on Lacey St (Thai food-looks like a hole in the wall & there was nobody in the place when we were there, but the food was to die for!). I have to say I'm hoping this place is still around when we come back because we loved it here!
