Situated on the side of the increasingly hip Barrio Bellas Artes closest to the center of town, this light and cosy flat is only 450m from two metro stops but in walking distance from most of the city's main tourist atractions such as Plaza de Armas, Parque Forestal, the main museums, the fish market and Santa Lucia hill. The also unmissable San Cristóbal hill and Barrio Bellavista are 15mins walk away, just over the river. The area is lively full of bars, restaurants, stores and supermarkets

Mariana: I’m a journalist by studies and profession. I specialise in gastronomy and I’ve published books on Spanish food as well two novels (and am currently working on a third). After having lived in Barcelona and Madrid for many years, I returned to my native Santiago with my English husband Dominic, who I met in Spain and who has worked in the music biz most of his professional life. We have been renting-out the two apartments through Airbnb for a few months now and are thoroughly enjoying the experience of lodging and meeting the generally cool, adventurous and interesting people that pass through Bellavista. Although we don’t live in the same building (but a couple of streets away) we take pleasure in interacting with the guests as much – or as little – as each of them desire.
Dominic: Am anglo-irish, but I've lived almost all my life outside the UK, in Ireland, France , Spain, Agentina and Chile. I've spent most of my professional life in the music industry with incursions into restaurants and night clubs. I really enjoy the contact we have with the guests and trying to make their stay in the city as special as possible
