Lephin Cottage stands on a five-acre working croft in the heart of Glendale just a short walk from the shop, cafés, community hall and church.
The croft has free-range hens and a small market garden.
Exceptionally well-equipped and comfortable accommodation.
I fell in love with the Isle of Skye many years ago and finally moved here permanently with my wife, Alison, in 2006.
I am a part-time crofter, amateur photographer, birder, naturalist and keen aurora-hunter. I am best known for running Glendale Skye Auroras. I also run the local wildlife sightings page and the UK’s only 100% accurate aurora alert App.
If you are interested in wildlife, photography or the night sky, I will be able to advise on the best places to go locally.
I keep a flock of free-range hens on the croft behind Lephin Cottage and you will see me popping in at various times of time to see the girls, so you will be able to come and have a chat if there is anything you want to know about the local area during your stay.
My wife and I stay at Milovaig, which is just two miles away from Lephin Cottage, so we will be nearby if you need anything during your visit.
