For the most part, we want to respect your space and allow you to enjoy your stay undisturbed. We are available when needed.
There is enough room for up to 4 cars in the driveway. The house is on a two house dead end road with lots of privacy. You will love the stars at night, the sun streaming thru the windows during the day and the faint whistle of the train that blows around 10:00 pm each evening, adding to the nostalgia of your experience.
We are minutes from Lord Thompson Manor and Thompson Golf Club. There are beautiful wineries close to us as well as great antiquing and farmer's markets.
Look for the local flair magazines in the cottage for more ideas for day trips and adventuring.
2 nights minimum. No breakfast included.
Please be advised that as of July 1, 2016, the State of Connecticut levies a 15% tax on this booking.
My husband (Dan) and I (Michelle) grew up in Putnam, CT and live next door to "Grandma's House". I enjoy restoring old houses, gardening, and antique hunting. We have Zeus (dog). Dan enjoys building houses, walking along the river, and doing light gardening.
Each year, Dan and I drive from CT down to Florida with our camper. Dan coaches the softball team in the winter for our granddaughter’s team and enjoys teaching and tutoring on the side. We love geography/history and surprising places. And in my opinion traveling is the best way of learning life.
We love the stories from the people we've met on our adventures. And for this reason we decided to create a comfortable, safe and cozy place for those who come to visit this little New England Gem, Putnam, CT named one of the Top 5 Destinations of the North East. This place is for people who want to experience one of quaint charm Americana, the town folk and our culture from a local perspective.
You are very welcome!
