Cozy room with its own bathroom and kitchen, simple, clean and welcoming. A good base for walking, fishing, cross country skiing or just relaxing. In the summer, cows graze nearby. Sometimes we have a café or hold cultural events in the barn, under the auspices of Fjøsakademiet.
- We don't mind noise, and you can come home as late as you like!
- You can only smoke outside - even in the depths of Winter.
- You should leave your outdoor shoes in the hall, as in all Norwegians houses.

I am British, early 60s and married to Hans, who is Norwegian. We have children and grandchildren, and live on a converted farm out in the Norwegian countryside, on the edge of a World Heritage Site. Sounds peaceful, and it is, but we are both very busy. We like to travel when we get the chance, and are very sociable. I am interested in culture, while Hans prefers fishing and forestry. We love food and appreciate red wine..
