This charming 1840 home is in the heart of historic downtown Lexington. Walking distance from Lexington's best restaurants & bars, Gratz Park, Transylvania University, 21C Museum, Rupp Arena concerts, sporting events & so much MORE. You’ll love my place because of the historic neighborhood, working fireplaces, pool table, cozy beds & exceptional location. My place is great for anyone wanting to experience the best of Lexington & bring your furry friends (pets) too!
I bought this house in 1980. Civil war veteran Captain Sharp was the original home owner. Built in 1840, the hardware that still flanks the front door was the bar that acted as the original entry lock. We encourage you to use the 2 working fireplaces in the ground floor dining area or directly above in the 2nd floor living room. The pool room and living room are great for entertaining or relaxing after a long day out on the town.
Both front entry on Broadway and rear entry near parking in 3rd St ally are accessible via the same smart lock codes.
There are 2 parking spaces accessible from the alley on 3rd st. Additional parking is available on 3rd Street. There are 2 other neighbors sharing the alley parking so, please be respectful. If you are confused of where to park please refer to listing photo of car parked @ rear entrance (the white VW is parked in the 305 Broadway spot)

I am available anytime via phone or email. Cara and Macon are co-hosts close by and in the event that I am unreachable they can help you with anything you might need.
The house is very old so the locks and doors all require a little TLC upon entry and exit so please pull the doors completely closed when engaging the lock functions on the electronic deadbolts.
If you do have a pet along on your stay please note that the back yard is not 100% secure and both Broadway and 3rd Street have heavy traffic so, please keep your pet on a leash outside.
- Parking is limited to 2 specific off street spaces in ally behind the house
- Fires in fireplaces MUST be extinguished before leaving the house
My name Dr Bob Douglas. I am a retired equine veterinarian. I raised 4 kids in this home. Now me and my dog Josie spend more time at my cabin on the Kentucky river. I travel often for business and pleasure. I love music, food, dancing and spending time with my family and friends. I have so many wonderful memories in this house. I hope you will enjoy your stay and make some great memories of your own!
