Our water front cottage is on a private road with and dock. It's located in Charlestown RI, 25 minutes from Newport, 10 from Westerly and Narragansett and 40 minutes from TF Green. There are plenty of golf courses in the area along with great restaurants offering the local catch of the day. Our guests spend their days kayaking, fishing, walking the beach or just taking in view. Feel free to contact us for more reviews. We've been hosting since 1995 but are fairly new to airbnb.

Prostor
This cottage has all the necessary kitchen utensils including a micro-wave and a Mr. Coffee. It has dish network with some movie channels. The private dock is available for your use and you may bring your own motor boat (please contact us in advance if you plan to bring your motor boat). We do have 4 kayaks and a canoe available for your use but you are also welcome to bring your own: we have plenty of space to store them. There is a washing machine on the property which you can use sparingly (due to a well water and septic system) and we have a clothes dryer and clothes line on the property as well. The cottage has an indoor and outdoor hot water shower (convenient after the beach or just for the pleasure of showering outside). Charlestown town beach is 3/10's of a mile (walking distance) from the cottage. We have life jackets available for your use of our kayaks as but if you have your own, it's a good idea to bring them. The cottage is located on a private road with a 10mph speed limit which is great for kids especially if they bring their bikes. While many love the summer months and summer season, off season is just as lovely. Pre-season (anytime prior to the last week in June) brings lovely flowers all around, tons of fishing, bird watching, kayaking and just a peaceful setting. Post-season (after Labor Day) brings amazing sunsets, much more fishing and all of the above; both at discounted prices and more spots on the beach!

Our cottage on Pond Street is located in a quaint little community. It is on a private road so the speed limit is 10 mph which is a great advantage to all our guests, especially those with kids. The cottage and the front deck have an unobstructed view of Ninigret Salt Pond. You can watch the boats go by and all the wild life. We are 25 minutes to Newport, 30 minutes to Foxwoods Casino, 20 minutes to URI and 10 minutes to Narragansett and Westerly. There are several restaurants in the area and Charlestown Mini Mart for some groceries. Pond street is great place for kids to ride their bikes. Feel free to bring lawn games as the waterfront lot provides plenty of space.

My husband and I purchased a small cottage in Charlestown RI in 1995. We fell so much in love with the location, area, sunsets, views and more but did grow out of our little cottage (with 3 small children and growing), so we purchased the property next store! The new property (new to us in 2000) is waterfront and comes with a private dock on Ninigret Salt Bay. Most of our guests spend their time just taking in the views, the sunsets, kayaking, paddle boarding, shellfishing, bird watching, beach walking and combing for sea glass and shells and just relaxing. We have been renting our cottages since 1995 and have a few dates available this upcoming season including before and after the summer season. We provide kayaks and canoes and if you have a motor boat, we have dock space for your boat. We love being on the salt bay. The sandbars are peaceful to hang out on or we sometimes will take our boat directly to Block Island. Our waterfront property has hosted many family events including our daughters wedding last year with the back drop being incredible. We love our property and the location and know that you will too.
