Wollam Gardens is an 11-acre specialty cut flower farm located 60 miles west of Washington D.C. and 30 miles east of Shenandoah National Park, in the small village of Jeffersonton, Virginia.
We host guests in the second floor of our 18th-century farmhouse. We encourage guests to stroll the farm, lounge on the balcony, and interact with our team. We provide coffee, tea, and use of our kitchen space.
Relax on the porch, walk among the flowers, and observe the daily activities of a cut flower farm. Or just stay in the comfort of our house and use it as your gateway to our Nation's Capitol, Shenandoah Park, Luray Caverns, and local historic sites and vineyards.
We have two guest bedrooms, which can be rented individually or together. THIS LISTING IS TO RENT ONE ROOM ONLY. See our other listings to rent the other room or both rooms together.
This is our larger guest room, with a queen bed and a single bed. It has an air-conditioner and a space heater for colder nights. The full bath and the upstairs porch are shared with our other guest room. (If you rent both rooms, you have them all to yourself!)
Common areas include a living/dining room and kitchen, which are also used by the interns who occupy the other bedrooms and work in our flower operation. In the morning, help yourself to coffee and tea in the kitchen. Staying at the farm is a shared, communal experience, and it is a unique place to get away.
To accommodate up to 5 people, you can rent both rooms. See our listing "Wollam Gardens, A Flower Destination (4-5 guests)."
Guests have exclusive access to this bedroom, and share the bathroom only with Airbnb guests from the other bedroom. In addition, guests are welcome to use the communal areas of the farmhouse and are also encouraged to explore our 11 acre property. Feel free to spend time in the living room or cook a meal in the kitchen (a beautiful space that was built in 1747). The only restricted areas are interns' bedrooms and Bob (the owner)'s bedroom, which are clearly marked.

Please keep in mind this is a true working farm, operating seven days a week. The majority of the working crew lives in the farm house, so it can be chaotic at times, but the interns will respect your space as they hope you will respect theirs. More than likely, an intern will greet you upon arrival, but it could also be one of the farm managers, or Bob Wollam himself.
Please note that when weddings take place in our event pavilion, the guest rooms are reserved for the wedding party. In general, weddings are booked long before we receive most reservation requests through AirBnB, but we do reserve the right to cancel your reservation with as much notice as possible if we have the opportunity to book a wedding during your stay. If you're booking less than 3 months in advance, it is highly unlikely that this will affect you.
