Located at Porthmadog Harbour, our home is a historical and cosy slate house with spectacular views over Snowdonia mountains - perfect for couples, solos or families. This stunning area has much to offer in all seasons, with outstanding beaches, walks, restaurants and cafes, and activities including Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland steam railways, water sports and horse riding. The famous Portmeirion Village and Harlech, Criccieth and Caernarfon castles are all short driving distance.
The accommodation is a grade II listed property situated in the historical heart of Porthmadog. Located on the ground floor is our open plan kitchen diner with range cooker and authentic beams. On the first floor we have a front living room with fireplace, tv and delightful views over the harbour and cobbled street, perfect for people watching! We also have a small study/snug with desk, and access to a walk in shower room available.
The second floor is home to a beautiful front bedroom where you shall be staying, and which again has the wonderful views across Snowdonia and Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland railways - you can even catch a glimpse of the steam train as it sets off on its journey through the mountains. With a lovely comfortable double bed, tea/coffee making facilities and television in the bedroom, the room is very cosy and perfect for relaxing after a long day hiking or exploring, and comes with a private bathroom with gorgeous standalone roll top bath (with shower attachment).
We also have a range of board games, dvds and books available for guests.
Guests have full access to kitchen and dining facilities with range cooker, fridge/freezer and microwave, and there is also a large dining table.
A breakfast of cereals, fruit and toast/croissants is provided. Please advise of any special dietary needs.
Lounge area with fireplace and electric stove heater and snug/office space with wifi.
The bedroom has sole use of second floor bathroom with bath and shower attachment and is located across the landing. There is a small, secluded garden at the back of the property, however access steps are very steep and unsuitable for young children or the disabled.

I am a recently retired social worker and thoroughly enjoying a change of direction and a new challenge, having moved back to my roots in North Wales. I have been renovating my house, which satisfies my creative passions, and I love the more peaceful and gentle way of life here, having lived for the last 40 years in the south east. I look forward to pursuing more outdoor activities, and reacquainting myself with the area over the coming months. I am a sociable person and very much enjoy music, films and meeting up with friends. Hosting via airbnb will fulfil my need to keep active and engaged, and I will enjoy meeting guests from all over the world. I have enjoyed travel to many different countries over the years and particularly enjoy a relaxed and laid back destination and learning about different cultures.
