First Airbnb experience. Nice, clean room. Private en-suite bathroom. Cute decor, comfortable bed. Ideal set-up - felt almost like a real hotel. Close to Universal (about a 10 min drive).
Didn't interact with the host much, only ran into them once during our whole stay, but they were very accommodating about our check-in time, which was pretty late. The community is gated so you'll need an ID to get in, but make sure it's not damaged because it has to be inserted into a card reader. Only drawback is that you have to do this every time you go through the gate and then the gate agent has to contact the host to make sure that they're expecting you. We only stayed three nights - the second night I was able to insert my ID and proceed through the gate without having to contact the host, but the third night the gate agent contacted the host just like the first night, which we felt bad about because we came in really late and they have a total silence after 10pm policy, so we didn't want to wake them like that.
While the room was spacious and very cute looking, it was a little hot (I don't know if they run their A/C much) and we had to keep the fan on high to keep the room cool enough, which I didn't like because the fan shakes a bit and that freaks me out. Since we couldn't make noise at night, we were afraid to put on Netflix on our laptop, which is mostly so my boyfriend is able to sleep (he suffers from panic attacks and the noise helps distract him and allows him to sleep), so he seemed to have a harder time staying asleep because of that. There were also tiny ants crawling on the dresser and bathroom counter, and my boyfriend found some crawling on his mouth guard one day. Seems like it might be an issue with the complex, though, rather than the host's condo in particular, and it really wasn't too big of a deal.
If not for the no noise after 10pm policy, I would probably stay again, but my boyfriend and I are night people and like to stay out late. We only came back early one night because we had spent the day at Universal and got up pretty early and were exhausted, but if we were to visit the area again I would feel more comfortable staying somewhere where I didn't feel like I was disturbing the host, which I think coming in late may have irritated her because I got a message from her saying "Don't make noise at this time!", which was perplexing since we were only getting ready for bed and were trying to be really quiet. I think she turned off the wifi after that as punishment, lol.
Otherwise, it was a lovely stay. Would recommend to anyone that is quiet and likes to turn in early.
