Cozy house is in a lovely neighborhood close to Bologna Square. 2 Metro stops from Termini station; 4 from Colosseo; Tram n. 19, in front of house, take you to Saint Peter in 40 min. in the best way; close to Polyclinic Umberto I, La Sapienza, S. Lorenzo and Rione Monti (2 metro stops). No AC for a choice, but a recent comment of a guest underlines: "It's surprising how cold the apartment is when it's so warm outside...". It's not in San Lorenzo as erroneously stated by the site but not so far.
My house is not in the chaotic area of San Lorenzo as erroneously stated by Airbnb, but in a quiet, comfortable neighborhood, not far away. We are at metro stop Policlinico.
Our nice home accommodates 1/8 people in 4 confortable rooms, decorated in an elegant way. One of them has a so-called 'French bed' and one has 2 single beds.
There is no air conditioning, but the temperature of the house, thanks to the thick walls usually keeps it constantly cool. Some fans are left in the house for the most demanding.
Our flat is really charming and cozy (our guests's words!;)). Well organized has a particolar attention for the beauty things. We love every beautiful thing and We have choosen everything as was for us.
The home is quiet and really confortable, really close to Rione Monti, San Lorenzo (pretty and trendy places) and the center is really close, with a lot of opportunities for a tourist. It's in an area quiet and safe, with many bus and metro services which let to reach the centre (Villa Borghese, Circo Massimo, Colosseo, far just 4 stops, Piazza del Popolo, the Pincio, Via Veneto, reaching on foot, the Ara Pacis and more...), in a few minutes. There are three confortable double rooms for 6 people and in addition to this the two sofas in the living room can be transformed into two single beds, reaching the place for 8 people.
Air conditioning is not there because there isn't need! The house is pleasantly cool in summer and warm and comfortable in winter thanks to thick walls dating back to the early twentieth century. Anyway I leave some fans which become all more confortable. But, really, the temperature in my house is special, ideal.
The guest will have access to everything in our home. Nothing is off limits!;)
It's forbidden to have parties and smoking. It's enjoyed the respect of the public peace, by limiting too much noise.

I'll contribute with joy so that your holiday is special with my suggestions. Restaurants and places I suggest are tested by me firstly, to insure the quality that I think you'll desire.
I will not be present simultaneously in house with the guests, but I will stay, if they wish, at their disposal for any support they might need to have. If it is necessary I will be happy to provide all the advice they desire. If you want sometime I could cook for you some typical roman plate as 'melanzane alla parmigiana'...;)
Often some guest ask me to cook something typical for them at low cost... I will be happy to let you taste something special about roman cooking
This is a service not included in the price!
A WONDERFUL ENERGY
The home has a wonderful energy since the first time I saw it and I'm sure you could feel it ... ;)
We are very careful about cleaning the house. In particular, we clean mattresses and fabrics of the house with special vacuum cleaner sanitizer. The instrument is capable of removing deep dust, mites and allergens less visible, particularly from upholstered furniture such as sofas, pillows and mattresses.
All this through a powerful suction that removes thoroughly and carefully, the dust and dirt accumulated in the tissues, even the most delicate ones. Thanks to a rotating brush that penetrates deep into the fibers to remove allergens and mites; with the UV-C germicidal lamp which is fitted, which can kill up to 99.9% of bacteria, allergens and dust mites and can prevent the future formation.
The lamp radiation affects the cells of the microorganisms and may allow the sterilization of mattresses, cushions and pillows helping to prevent dermatitis and asthma.
Air conditioning is not there because there isn't need! The house is pleasantly cool in summer and warm and comfortable in winter thanks to thick walls dating back to the early twentieth century.
In the case of the elderly and disabled is important to know that the apartment is located on the mezzanine floor, a lower floor to the first floor, reached by a few steps (five). The spacious rooms contribute to making the apartment very accessible to people with reduced mobility.

A small gift for you about the Great Rome and its Great Beauty ...
Discovering Great Beauty
"The Great Beauty" not only shows that the Roma are on the postcards, but hidden behind the doors, walls and gates that always seem closed. Yet there is a way to visit them, even when they seem inaccessible. Here is a guide that will allow you to discover, to experience Rome like in a movie.
Let's start from the house of Jep Gambardella, the protagonist Sorrentino establishes the attic of a building in Piazza del Colosseo nr. 9, which overlooks the south side of the Flavian Amphitheatre (Coliseum). the most famous monument in the world.
Here festivities take place with the trains "that does not lead anywhere" and conversations Jep cruel and bored with his friends.
Orietta, the beautiful woman bored with Jep which consumes a night of love, lives in an apartment in Piazza Navona, right under one of the towers of the Church of St. Agnes in Agony, at the Palazzo Pamphili.
Viola, the rich and depressed friend, lives alone with her son psychopath at Palazzo Sacchetti, in Via Giulia, where he organized a lunch which will not participate in any. Not far away you live from the phantom Column Principles of Reggio, the nobles for rent that have set up their family museum at Palazzo Taverna.
Sorrentino plays with the identity of places, weaves them and transforms them according to his narrative needs: the "palaces of princesses" that Stephen opens to Jep and Ramona are actually museums that preserve some of the most fascinating works of Rome.
From the doorway of the Priory of St. Mary on the Aventine, with the keyhole most famous of Rome, the sculptures of the Capitoline Museums, from the courtyard of the Palazzo Altemps the monumental staircase of the Palazzo Braschi, the Fornarina by Raphael in the Palazzo Barberini, the false perspective of Borromini Palazzo Spada, until the sculptural group of Niobe in the heart of the Villa Medici, where it is concluded their fascinating exploration at night.
Rome is wonderful especially when it appears deserted thus able to admire Gambardella on his walks at dawn, returning from holidays more mundane. The first leads to the Aventine Hill, where he meets a group of novices in the portico of Santa Sabina and discovers a nun intent to reap the fruits from a tree in the Garden of Oranges.
A few days later we find him thoughtfully along the embankments of the Tiber, where he arrived after traveling a deserted Via Veneto, retaining only a vague memory of the Dolce Vita. And 'here that he expresses his birthday party, held on the terrace of a building in the thirties via Bissolati nr. 5. A wild dance involving faces deformed by botulinum toxin, which all meet at Palazzo Brancaccio to undergo the injections of the miraculous cure of beauty.
On the opposite side of the city, Sorrentino explores in his own way the most famous places of the Janiculum: the cannon that shoots right at the beginning of the film is below the terrace on which stands the equestrian statue of Garibaldi, surrounded by busts of the heroes of the Roman Republic . A few steps away, pours water Fontanone, which overcomes the complex of San Pietro in Montorio, with the Temple of Bramante.
Even when the camera leaves the Centro Storico, Rome is monumental: the performance of contemporary art is staged in the Park of the Aqueducts, while for the funeral of the only woman loved by Jep the director chose the Monumental Cemetery of Verano. Sorrentino is often surprising choices, such as setting up a clothing store in the lobby of the EUR Salone delle Fontane, where the scene is the monologue of the funeral.
"The Great Beauty" is a film between dream and reality, just as the exhibition of photographs under the loggia of Villa Giulia or makeup that makes disappear the giraffe in the heart of Rome archaeological, at the Baths of Caracalla.
