Old Hunstanton is a rarity along the North Norfolk coast in that you can get very close to the beach without walking a long way over the salt marshes! Miles of sand, gentle sand dunes and beach huts make this a perfect family seaside holiday destination. For the more active Old Hunstanton has become a mecca for kite surfing and wind surfing. Hunstanton Golf Course, a challenging links course is voted amongst the top 100 courses in Britain, and Brancaster Sailing Club are just a ten minute drive away. As well as the RSPB nature reserves of Titchwell and Snettisham. The coastal path is at the top of the drive. Old Hunstanton has a local village store and post office which sells fresh produce, including freshly baked bread and croissants, a beach café, a number of pubs and restaurants including The Mariners Inn which has a super lawned garden. There are other great places to eat, all within walking distance of our holiday cottages, including The Neptune a Michelin Star restaurant, The Lodge Hotel and a lovely traditional beach cafe serving a good fry up! The lifeboat station is a good place to visit and maybe see in action. The hovercraft being launched is a sight well worth seeing!
