Scalp Cottage (just in case you are wondering, a scalp is a beach sand formation!) is a single-storey chalet situated just minutes from the beach and saltmarsh at Holme-next-the-Sea. Hidden away off the private road leading to Holme Dunes Nature Reserve. Scalp Cottage is one of three similar properties at the end of an unmade driveway. This means the cottage can offer very flexible accommodation for both couples and families. Should you require the 'sleeping six' option, please request on booking. Recently refurbished and decorated, Scalp offers comfortable and dog friendly accommodation.

The main sitting room features windows and a glazed door out to the garden; there is a dining table with four chairs, three seater leather sofa and two easy chairs with a footstool. TV with Freeview and DVD player, occasional tables and floor lamp. Living flame electric fire.
Modern bright kitchen with fitted units, a table with two chairs and an integrated electric hob with integrated oven and grill below. There is an under counter fridge with ice box, washing machine, microwave, kettle and toaster and sink with drainer. A bright room with window overlooking front garden and parking.
Main bedroom comprising double bed with metal bed frame, bedside tables with lamps, dressing table with mirror, chest of drawers, cupboards with hanging space and windows to the main garden.
Bath with electric shower over, integrated wash hand basin with cabinet beneath and WC.
Second bedroom with double bed (please note, this bed can only be only accessed from one side), bedside table with lamp, small chest of drawers and chair. Window to front.
Single bed with bedside table and lamp, bedside table with lamp and chest of drawers. Window to main garden. There is a 3ft pull out bed trundle bed available. If you would like to make use of this please let us know.
To the front of the property (as you approach by car) there is a large shingled area with ample parking for three cars. A pretty lawned area and a shed. To the rear of the property is a fully secure, enclosed garden, laid mainly to lawn with a patio, garden furniture for four people and a BBQ. The garden is very private with tall hedging all round and a gate at the far end with access to the grass path leading past the cottages.
It is very easy to access lovely walks across the saltmarsh, to the beach or onwards to Holme Dunes Nature Reserve. There is fantastic bird watching all around the area too. Within 10 minutes walk is the White Horse Pub in Holme, which serves good quality home cooked food and has a large garden with a play area for children. Within a few minutes drive are all the lovely eateries in either Thornham, Brancaster or Old Hunstanton and the supermarkets and amusements at Hunstanton are around 10 minutes away in the car. The pretty village of Holme Next the Sea is right on the North Norfolk Heritage Coast. Peddars Way, the Roman road stretches right down to the coast giving opportunities for great walking along with the North Norfolk Coastal Path.
