Butlers of Bendigo offers prestige accommodation in one of Eaglehawk's finest homes. The house was built in 1899 by Dr Richard Jones an Irish doctor appointed by the Borough of Eaglehawk as its Medical Officer. The large two-storey home of over 60 squares, with return verandah and upper balcony reflects the architecture of the goldfield era. The house was designed by Vahland & Son.
Butlers of Bendigo is located in Caradon House (1899) in the centre of the heritage goldfields village of Eaglehawk. The Edwardian house has seen a number of uses over the years: a doctor's residence/surgery, Church of England theological college, mine manager's residence and the Borough of Eaglehawk Municipal Offices. Caradon House offers three separate rooms, each with a queen bed and ensuite.
