The Woolloft is situated in the very heart of the Lake District National Park; Broadrayne farm is a traditional Lakeland Farm with a small cluster of former 17th century farm buildings nestling round a picturesque farmyard in the beautiful Vale of Grasmere. Enjoying a sunny elevated position surrounded by some of Britain’s finest scenery. The picturesque village of Grasmere is a short stroll away and there is a traditional Lakeland Inn just 400 yards down the road.
The Woolloft dates back to the 17th century and is a superb conversion of a traditional Lakeland bank barn which was originally used to store fleeces. Retaining a wealth of character features plus many home comforts, cosy log burning stove, two feet thick cobblestone walls and two en-suite bedrooms ...a real ‘home from home’ with mountain views from every room.
Being a typical Lakeland barn, it nestles into the mountainside and enjoys a lower and upper ground floor.
Upper Ground Floor - Full height glass doors open into a spacious characterful living room with fine oak beams, deep set windows and corner log burning stove. Furnished to a very high standard it has the benefit of a wall mounted flat screen TV, DVD and WiFi.
A spacious fully fitted well equiped dining kitchen with many useful extras including dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge freezer and microwave.
Stone stairs lead down to the bedrooms on the lower ground floor. A king sized double bedroom, with en-suite bath, bidet and wc, plus a twin or super king bedroom, with en-suite bath/shower over, basin and wc. Also off the hallway is a seperate shower room and a seperate wc with basin.
Parking for one car is on hard standing next to the Woolloft where there is also a private sitting area, with Rattan cube set dining furniture and a BBQ. This enclosed area enjoys the last of the setting sun and has stunning views of Steel Fell, Helm Crag and beyond. Parking for a second car can be made available, if requested.

We do accept a dog sometimes, for a small additional fee of £20. Please check with us prior to booking and let us know what type of dog you have.
The house is a No Smoking area. However, you are free to smoke outside the building.
We ask that guests strip the beds of linen and empty the bins prior to their departure.
