Ideally suited for couples. Our home is unsuitable for families.
We can accommodate two couples but the second couple would be sleeping on a converted sofa bed guests tell me it is very comfortable.

John can cook for you. He will need advanced notice however. John will discuss menus and very reasonable costs.
We do, of course, include breakfast in our price. John is a great cook using local produce when available. If you have special requirements for your meals we ask you to bring them with you as we live on an island and often find it difficult to cater for all people. e,g, Gluten free bread and muesli, lactose free yogurt and milk.
We are within easy driving distance of the most magnificent walks, peaceful bays, lonely beaches and easy sailing across the D'Entrecasteaux Channel.
There are National Parks, game reserves, rain-forests, rare wildlife and most breathtaking panoramic views.
Our island is full of wonderful flora and fauna consisting of wallabies, possums, penguins, native quolls, dolphins, seals to name of few.
The flora consists of beautiful wild flowers in spring including native Christmas bells.
Access to Bruny Island is by vehicle ferry. The ferry is situated at Kettering approximately 30 minutes drive south of Hobart.
Access to Garden and the deck. Guests are welcome to use the deck and fire pit area.

My partner John and I live on Beautiful Bruny Island just off the coast of Tasmania in the "Deep South" Bruny is a very diverse island, peaceful, dramatic and exciting.
Please note: We are in the southern part of Bruny Island which is approximately 45 minutes from the ferry. We are approximately 30 minutes from Adventure Bay where you can buy petrol (This is the only place on Bruny) We are 10 minutes from the Bruny Hotel and the Alonnah General Store.
This may be a down side of your stay with us.On the positive side we are close (5 minutes) from the winery and 15 minutes drive from the Lighthouse. Cloudy Bay is about 10 minutes drive.
We love being on Daniels Bay and would not choose to live else where on Bruny.
We love gardening although we have an ongoing battle with the rabbits who find our roses delicious - we love music (we have our own ukulele group) singing (with our group and in the local choir) sailing when the weather allows us (fair weather sailors now) and entertaining.
John is a great cook with a real feel for flavors, his breakfasts are wonderful.
We'd love to have you stay with us and our little piece of paradise we would certainly make you feel at home. Relax enjoy the beauty of our island - we know you will never want to leave.
My motto for life - "As you grow older, you stand for more and fall for less."
