Where to even begin? We were only in Chamonix for 2 days during a 10 day European vacation and our stay in Carol's chalet was by far the highlight of our trip. We wish we could have stayed longer! The hospitality of Carol and her husband is that of a 5-start hotel. The chalet is so cozy, was impeccably clean and even had travel bottles of soap, shampoo, waters in the fridge and coffee/tea to drink. Not to mention, they even dropped off fresh croissants and jam at the door in the morning for breakfast :) Carol was extremely accommodating to our travel schedule and met us at check-in to show us around and answered lots of our questions about Chamonix.
The bed was very comfortable and the size of the chalet is perfect and is such a romantic setting for a couple. When we first saw it on the map, we were a little worried about getting around since it's a outside the main city center. However, the Chamonix bus system is so easy to use and the stop is conveniently a few yards away from the chalet! It was so easy getting to where we wanted to go but we also loved the tranquility of not being in the main downtown area. There's also a walking trail you can take all the way into the city. It was an easy and beautiful walk if you don't want to take the bus! If you're in Chamonix, staying at Carol's is a must! We hope to be back again one day.
