My place is close to Beaches, All shopping, entertainment, restaurants and public transport.. You’ll love my place because it is an open, breezy house with lots of niche common areas: Open, secured deck for lounge & dine, couch potato TV room, semi open kitchen opening to more getting together space. Stands in a garden with fruit trees and opens to a park. Very Quiet. A private home rather than a commercial rental.. My place is good for couples and families (with kids).
This is a family home. We do not expect it to be a fraternity, or party house and expect the same sort of care / respect / behavior that would pertain in your own home. Gracious entertaining would be expected: Whoopsy, loud, wham-bam gatherings are a no-no!
And please! If you smoke, not in the bedrooms and use the ashtrays elsewhere. Butts are hard to pick out of the garden and might be distasteful to other future guests.
Try not to feed the animals. The sparrows can be invasive and are not timid and will find a way to get to your fruit if they can. The little green lizards are in no way harmful and help in a big way to harvest the odd flying bug.
I grew up in Barbados, but have mostly lived and worked in Guyana, which is really only a short flight away on the South American mainland. There, I am a Technical Adviser to a mining company located in the jungle, which forms part of the extended Amazonas. I had spent many years as a stand alone prospector, but now mostly oversight conservation and remediation issues. My Barbados home is my bolt-hole to a very alternate lifestyle and is my window to the sea, which is another passion. Most of my leisure travel is limited to the countries around the Caribbean sea,- from Panama and Costa Rica, to the Windward and Leeward Islands. I have visited most on sailing boats.
