St. Hanshaugen is the centre of cultural and represents a historical early settled area in the city. Location is very close to downtown. The area is famous for great experiences of food and famous places, parks, recreational areas, raging beautiful levels ("St. Hanshaugen") means a local topology top point.
Public transportation works ok, but not recommend during rush hours. Outside the building bus #37 commutes 24/7, public transportation in Oslo is in general a safe ride in this areas - just make sure to have valid ticket. The public transportation company harass people very bad, for not flashing valid tickets. If you're planning to see Oslo by car, always avoid downtown and rush hours. Otherwise a car - preferably an electric car, that make you drive for free on all the (undersized, busy and expensive) toll roads. Despite Oslo is a very small city, its main infrastructure from the late 1950/60`s, generates traffic to gridlock for hours every day, (city council suggests for problem solving, residents to walk or to step bikes) Inner city public transits hits chaos state during rush hours, so never expect route schedules. But do not be to scared - thousands of people commutes daily, even they tend to be tense and aggressive during those times - so make sure to be flexible in planning - a car is actually a very nice choice to make - especially to visit places not only downtown.
This condo is residential - no parties or disturbing activities that will offence residential neighborhoods.
