My place is in a quiet family building. Several restaurants in the neighborhood have prices less expensive than midtown locations. There are Patsy's Pizzeria, Harley's Smokeshack, El Nuevo Caridad Restaurant, Mojitos Bar & Grill, and Taco Mix. The room faces the street so it may have several types of sounds that go away at night when you return to sleep. The room is comfortable; a great location in Manhattan with close access to mass transit, the neighborhood is multicultural with good vibes.
The building is 4 levels high. My son occupies the 4th and a long term tenant occupies the 3rd floor. I have 2 floors as a duplex. All to say my place is like a family home. The room is spacious. Now in the warm weather, there is access to the backyard.
Guest practically will have their own bath/washroom and have access to the kitchen and its utilities. There is, of course, wifi with Hulu access (in case you rather stay home, ah, not really...

I will be present during the guests' stay and interact with them to their liking.
Two businesses, by the way, are 2 funeral homes on the block, but while it allows me to quip that "people are dying to move into the block," their presence does not represent any reasons for supernatural concerns (unless you have an issue with this). Rarely do funeral services take place with large participation later than 8 pm. This in no way interferes with your access to the building. I imagine you are in NYC to venture out more than staying in more than you have to.
Check out time by noon. An extended stay will require an additional fee depending on the number of hours.
Love to dance salsa and practice some Zen Meditation. I go to Puerto Rico 2 or 3 times a year.
I am for environmental and social justice.
As a guest, I like to be considered as someone who is responsible, not wasteful and treat the home I stay at as if were my home; as a host, I like to have someone with similar values.
