Welcome to Studio A at Chez Haile! Scott and I hope you enjoy your stay with us. The studio is one side of a private duplex in Tucson’s Peter Howell neighborhood. You’re ideally located to grab a bus in any direction, stretch your legs with a walk or jog around nearby Reid Park, our largest municipal park (golf courses, tennis, zoo).
Great for solo adventurers, couples, business travelers, visiting nurses or med students on rotations. Only a few miles from UofA & downtown!
The remodeled studio (2016) is about 300sf and features a comfy queen-sized bed, kitchen with granite counters, tile floors, and a bathroom with a new shower (plus grab bar). Kitchen has a coffee maker, 24" gas range, microwave and toaster oven, as well as basic dishes, utensils and so forth. Smart TV with streaming Netflix already set to go (no cable or DirectTV, however, wifi streaming only). Heat is wall furnace (gas) and cooling is a window unit a/c.
Business: We are also well-located for visiting nurses, medical students, etc. working at local hospitals, as well as for business travelers who want to be centrally located in greater Tucson.
Food: Prepare your meals in-house or make your way to one of Tucson’s great local restaurants – we’re happy to recommend our favorites (see the Guidebook for more info)!
You have the studio plus the covered area for your use. Ideal for parking your low-profile (aka "short height") vehicle or as your outdoor space. Folding chairs and small table provided upon request.
Trash and recycling pick up are early Monday morning, so if you have trash you'd like to dispose of and are staying over a Sunday night, you can dispose of it in the outdoor bins (recycling = blue, trash = green). Extra bags are under the kitchen sink.
- Parking in allotted space or street-side only
- Quiet hours between 10:30 pm and 7:00 am
- Please note cancellation policy!
If you have questions or run into any issues at all, please feel free to call me! We aim to please. My husband and I live in the neighborhood. We respect your privacy, but are available to provide recommendations as needed.
My husband, Scott, and I moved to Tucson in 2009 after 15 years in Seattle. Light, warmth and the charm of the Old Pueblo are second to none. We're originally from southeast Louisiana (Geaux Tigers!) but choose dry heat over humidity every day! We love our mid-town Tucson neighborhood and being an easy bike ride from the UofA and downtown. The Sonoran Desert's unique beauty, easy pace and incredible weather is very easy to get used to - we hope you'll visit again and again!
